On this week's Night Vale, we agree with Cecil that solving a murder is less fun when it happens a liiittle too close to home. And on Mayor of Kingstown we use the phrase "I like them, I sure hope they don't die" way too many times.

On this week's Night Vale recap THERE'S BEEN A MURDER. It's the same murder we heard about last week, but as Cecil points out it's still true, and it's a heck of a hook for a radio program. Here's hoping the WikiHow article can show Cecil how to solve it before someone else gets murdered

This week we jump into episode three of the final season of Mayor of Kingstown where everything's out of control (houses on fire, Robert's a drunk time bomb, and Frank and the Warden are playing "I'm the most powerful person NO I AM.")

After that Kathryn's only got a few episodes left of the always hilarious and freaking good-hearted Star Trek: Lower Decks, but we've also got some tangents into AI recaps and ARRRGH WHY IS CAPITALISM.

This week we're recapping episode 3 of the last season of Mayor of Kingstown, where pretty much everything is spiraling out of Mike's control. Rival gang members are murdering each other and setting their hangouts on fire, Kyle's falling under the influence of a dangerous inmate, Robert is a drunk t...

On this week's episode we're recapping Night Vale's murder mystery, with all the weirdness Night Vale is so good at (could someone please check on the coroner, they're not doing well.) And THEN we spoil all the things about season 4 episode 2 of Mayor of Kingstown because STUFF HAPPENED. VERY VIOLENT STUFF. WE LOVED IT.

This week's Night Vale is the kind of murder mystery that can only happen in this weird little town, with dead angels, no suspects, surprise bats, and an autopsy report that's just the coroner stabbing the notebook with a pencil while yelling "IT'S FULL OF STARS." After the recap we jump right into....

In our continuing series "Elizabeth And Kathryn Watch Things That Are Less Than A Year Old" the twins saw 2024's Heretic (just barely less than a year old, still counts!) and the first episode of the final season of Mayor of Kingstown (man oh man this season's gonna be a bloodbath isn't it?)

In our continuing series "Elizabeth And Kathryn Watch Things That Are Less Than A Year Old", this week we watched 2024's Heretic (came out last November, just under a year, still counts!) It's a brilliantly creepy, slow burn of a film, Hugh Grant somehow manages to be charming and terrifying at the....

This week the twins discuss an absolutely lovely episode of Welcome to Night Vale (and avoid spoilers for once!) before jumping into random topics like Wednesday, Angel Heart, Sinners, Mayor of Kingstown, the AWS outage, directors' commentaries, the DragonFall Drawing Challenge, and Kathryn and Nathan's new roommate.

It's a short episode this week because we decided we weren't going to spoil the ending of Night Vale's latest episode: it's such a quiet, subtle story, perfect for an autumn day, and you really should give it a listen. We still manage to fit in some random ramblings of course, including Wednesday (s...

Of COURSE the Binary System Podcast crew watched Sinners less than 6 months after it came out, it's VAMPIRES and MUSIC and MICHAEL B. JORDAN playing TWINS.

Yep, you read that right. This week in complete defiance of our usual routine we made a plan - watch Sinners - and then we actually followed the plan and watched a movie less than six months after it came out! And oh boy, what a movie! In just one film you've got vampire horror,
