یاد‭ ‬وطن‭ ‬در‭ ‬ادبیات‭ ‬مشروطه

دورۀ‭ ‬مشروطه‭ ‬در‭ ‬ایران‭ ‬که‭ ‬سال های‭ ‬پایانی‭ ‬سدۀ‭ ‬سیزدهم‭ ‬هجری‭ ‬قمری‭ ‬را‭ ‬در‭ ‬بر‭ ‬می گیرد‭ ‬یکی‭ ‬از‭ ‬پر‭ ‬تلاطم ترین‭ ‬ادوار‭ ‬تاریخ‭ ‬اجتماعی‭ ‬و‭ ‬فرهنگی‭ ‬ایران‭ ‬است‭. ‬این‭ ‬دوره‭ ‬به‭ ‬واسطۀ‭ ‬گسست های‭ ‬بنیادین‭ ‬در‭ ‬ساختار‭ ‬قدرت،‭ ‬پیدایش‭ ‬مفاهیم‭ ‬نوین‭ ‬سیاسی،‭ ‬نظیر‭ ‬وطن،‭ ‬ملت،‭ ‬قانون‭ ‬و‭ ‬آزادی‭ ‬و‭ ‬نیز‭ ‬مواجهۀ‭ ‬مستقیم‭ ‬ایران‭ ‬با‭ ‬مدرنیتۀ‭ ‬غربی،‭ ‬بستری‭ ‬فراهم‭ ‬آورد‭ ‬که‭ ‬ادبیات‭ ‬فارسی،‭ ‬به‭ ‬ویژه‭ ‬شعر‭ ‬ناگزیر‭ ‬به‭ ‬دگرگونی‭ ‬شد‭.‬

دکتر‭ ‬کریمی‭ ‬حکاک‭ ‬در‭ ‬اثر‭ ‬مهم‭ ‬خود‭ ‬با‭ ‬عنوان‭ ‬طلیعۀ‭ ‬تجدد‭ ‬در‭ ‬شعر‭ ‬فارسی‭ ‬می نویسد‭:‬

‮«‬اگر‭ ‬از‭ ‬منظر‭ ‬تاریخ‭ ‬ادبیات‭ ‬بنگریم،‭ ‬وضعیت‭ ‬بسیاری‭ ‬از‭ ‬شعرهایی‭ ‬که‭ ‬در‭ ‬دهه های‭ ‬آغازین‭ ‬قرن‭ ‬بیستم‭ ‬در‭ ‬ایران‭ ‬سروده‭ ‬شده اند‭ ‬مبهم‭ ‬است‭. ‬اصطلاحاتی‭ ‬همچون‭ ‬شعر‭ ‬مشروطه‭ ‬یا‭ ‬شعر‭ ‬دوران‭ ‬مشروطه،‭ ‬معمولاً‭ ‬و‭ ‬به‭ ‬طور‭ ‬کلی‭ ‬برای‭ ‬اشاره‭ ‬به‭ ‬همۀ‭ ‬شعرهایی‭ ‬به‭ ‬کار‭ ‬می رود‭ ‬که‭ ‬در‭ ‬نخستین‭ ‬دهه های‭ ‬قرن‭ ‬بیستم‭ ‬و‭ ‬قبل‭ ‬از‭ ‬رواج‭ ‬یافتن‭ ‬و‭ ‬غلبۀ‭ ‬شعر‭ ‬نو‭ ‬سروده‭ ‬شده اند‭. ‬همین‭ ‬اصطلاح ها‭ ‬به‭ ‬گونه ای‭ ‬خاص تر‭ ‬بر‭ ‬شعرهایی‭ ‬دلالت‭ ‬دارند‭ ‬که‭ ‬از‭ ‬نظر‭ ‬موضوعی‭ ‬به‭ ‬نحوی‭ ‬با‭ ‬انقلاب‭ ‬مشروطه،‭ ‬در‭ ‬سال های‭ ‬۱۲۹۰ـ۱۲۸۴‭ (‬۱۹۱۱ـ۱۹۰۵‭)‬،‭ ‬پیوند‭ ‬دارند‭. ‬این‭ ‬شعرها‭ ‬در‭ ‬قیاس‭ ‬با‭ ‬آثار‭ ‬غنایی‭ ‬کلاسیک،‭ ‬سیاسی ترند‭ ‬و‭ ‬از‭ ‬لحاظ‭ ‬مضمون‭ ‬به‭ ‬حوادث‭ ‬روز‭ ‬بیشتر‭ ‬توجه‭ ‬دارند‭ ‬و‭ ‬از‭ ‬نظر‭ ‬شکل‭ ‬و‭ ‬صورت‭ ‬بی‭ ‬دقتی‭ ‬و‭ ‬آسان‭ ‬گیری‭ ‬بیشتری‭ ‬در‭ ‬آن ها‭ ‬دیده‭ ‬می شود‭.‬‮»‬

The Impact of the New Supreme Court Ruling on the 1965 Voting Rights Act on our Community

Introduction

On April 29 this year, the Supreme Court of the United States (SCOTUS) issued a ruling that has already had far-reaching consequences on the Congressional districts of mainly Southern states. Officially known as Louisiana v. Callais, the ruling invalidated the 1982 Amendment of the 1965 Voting Rights Act (VRA), which created “majority-minority” districts. In this article, I will discuss this ruling and how it could impact our community and other immigrant communities. (Continued here:)

On Sunday, May 31, 2026, the end-of-school celebration was held at the Iranian School of San Diego, officially marking the thirty-eighth year of the school’s activity. The tumultuous events of the past few months have resulted in further polarization of our community in the U.S. and worldwide. What has also more brazenly surfaced is a tendency to identify as “White” in the U.S., along with calling the Islamic Republic government an “occupying force.” The slogan “we are Aryans and we don’t worship Arabs” that is chanted in demonstrations outside and even inside Iran is part and parcel of this phenomenon. Why is this happening and how can this impact our community and its place in the global human community?

شعر‭ ‬زنان‭ ‬امروز‭ ‬

زنان‭ ‬شاعر‭ ‬معاصر‭ ‬را‭ ‬می توان‭ ‬در‭ ‬دو‭ ‬گروه‭ ‬بررسی‭ ‬کرد‭. ‬نخست‭ ‬شاعران‭ ‬همزمان‭ ‬ما‭ ‬در‭ ‬درون‭ ‬مرز‭ ‬و‭ ‬دوم‭ ‬زنان‭ ‬شاعری‭ ‬که‭ ‬در‭ ‬فراسوی‭ ‬مرزهای‭ ‬جغرافیایی‭ ‬ایران‭ ‬به‭ ‬زبان‭ ‬فارسی‭ ‬شعر‭ ‬می نویسند‭. ‬در‭ ‬کنار‭ ‬این‭ ‬دستۀ‭ ‬دوم‭ ‬نسل‭ ‬نورسیدۀ‭ ‬دیگری‭ ‬هم‭ ‬در‭ ‬بیرون‭ ‬از‭ ‬مرزهای‭ ‬کشور‭ ‬وجود‭ ‬دارد‭ ‬که‭ ‬شاعرانش‭ ‬تبار‭ ‬ایرانی‭ ‬دارند‭ ‬و‭ ‬اغلب‭ ‬به‭ ‬زبانی‭ ‬غیر‭ ‬از‭ ‬فارسی‭ ‬شعر‭ ‬می گویند‭. ‬ویژگی های‭ ‬سبکی‭ ‬و‭ ‬زبانی‭ ‬این‭ ‬دستۀ‭ ‬اخیر‭ ‬غالباً‭ ‬از‭ ‬خصوصیات‭ ‬شعر‭ ‬امروز‭ ‬فارسی‭ ‬فاصلۀ‭ ‬زیادی‭ ‬دارد‭ ‬که‭ ‬بحث‭ ‬دربارۀ‭ ‬آن‭ ‬مستلزم‭ ‬مجال‭ ‬و‭ ‬مقال‭ ‬دیگری‭ ‬است‭.‬

The Sounding Iran Conference: An Unprecedented Gathering on Music and Society

Music, at first glance, may be seen as a largely neutral art form associated with beauty, pleasure, and emotional expression. However, it is increasingly understood to be far from neutral, functioning instead as a site of critical expression and engagement with broader social concerns. This may partly account for the large number of researchers who engage with Iran’s cultural and social nuances through their work on music. The University of California, Irvine, recently hosted a large number of these scholars, musicians, and educators who gathered to share and discuss their work on music in Iran and the Iranian diaspora at the conference Sounding Iran: Musical Pasts, Presents and Futures. مقدمه

جنگی‭ ‬که‭ ‬با‭ ‬حملۀ‭ ‬ایالات‭ ‬متحده‭ ‬و‭ ‬اسرائیل‭ ‬در‭ ‬۲۸‭ ‬فوریه‭ ‬آغاز‭ ‬شد‭ ‬حداقل‭ ‬در‭ ‬چند‭ ‬روز‭ ‬نخست‭ ‬تحت‭ ‬لوای‭ ‬‮«‬تغییر‭ ‬رژیم‮»‬‭ ‬و‭ ‬‮«‬برقراری‭ ‬دموکراسی‮»‬‭ ‬انجام‭ ‬گرفت‭. ‬علیرغم‭ ‬سخنان‭ ‬ضد‭ ‬و‭ ‬نقیض‭ ‬رئیس‭ ‬جمهور‭ ‬آمریکا‭ ‬در‭ ‬روزها‭ ‬و‭ ‬هفته های‭ ‬بعدی‭ ‬جنگ‭ ‬و‭ ‬با‭ ‬وجود‭ ‬پافشاری‭ ‬نخست‭ ‬وزیر‭ ‬اسرائیل‭ ‬بر‭ ‬تغییر‭ ‬رژیم‭ ‬به‭ ‬عنوان‭ ‬هدف‭ ‬اصلی‭ ‬جنگ،‭ ‬نه‭ ‬تنها‭ ‬هیچ‭ ‬کدام‭ ‬از‭ ‬این‭ ‬اهداف‭ ‬تحقق‭ ‬نیافته اند،‭ ‬بلکه‭ ‬جمهوری‭ ‬اسلامی‭ ‬با‭ ‬صرف‭ ‬ادامه‭ ‬حیات‭ ‬و‭ ‬تعیین‭ ‬رهبری‭ ‬جدید‭ ‬موقعیت‭ ‬خود‭ ‬را‭ ‬تحکیم‭ ‬کرده‭ ‬است‭. ‬علاوه‭ ‬بر‭ ‬این،‭ ‬با‭ ‬حمله‭ ‬به‭ ‬پادگان های‭ ‬آمریکا‭ ‬در‭ ‬کشورهای‭ ‬خلیج‭ ‬فارس‭ ‬و‭ ‬بنادر‭ ‬و‭ ‬زیر‭ ‬ساخت های‭ ‬نفت‭ ‬و‭ ‬گاز‭ ‬در‭ ‬این‭ ‬کشورها‭ ‬و‭ ‬سپس‭ ‬کنترل‭ ‬کشتیرانی‭ ‬در‭ ‬تنگۀ‭ ‬هرمز،‭ ‬جمهوری‭ ‬اسلامی‭ ‬تأثیرگذاری‭ ‬بر‭ ‬وضعیت‭ ‬اقتصاد‭ ‬جهان‭ ‬را‭ ‬به‭ ‬معادلۀ‭ ‬جنگ‭ ‬اضافه‭ ‬کرده‭ ‬است‭. ‬اگر‭ ‬در‭ ‬آغاز‭ ‬جنگ،‭ ‬بسیاری‭ ‬از‭ ‬ایرانیان‭ ‬در‭ ‬خارج‭ ‬و‭ ‬داخل‭ ‬کشور‭ ‬به‭ ‬‮«‬تغییر‭ ‬رژیم‮»‬‭ ‬امیدوار‭ ‬بودند‭ ‬و‭ ‬از‭ ‬جنگ‭ ‬حمایت‭ ‬می کردند،‭ ‬با‭ ‬ادامۀ‭ ‬جنگ،‭ ‬کشته‭ ‬شدن‭ ‬هزاران‭ ‬تن‭ ‬از‭ ‬هم‭ ‬میهنانمان‭ ‬و‭ ‬مجروح‭ ‬شدن‭ ‬ده ها‭ ‬هزار‭ ‬نفر،‭ ‬نابودی‭ ‬بسیاری‭ ‬زیرساخت های‭ ‬کشور‭ ‬نظیر‭ ‬پالایشگاه های‭ ‬نفت‭ ‬و‭ ‬گاز،‭ ‬مجتمع های‭ ‬پتروشیمی،‭ ‬صنایع‭ ‬فولاد،‭ ‬دانشگاه ها،‭ ‬مدارس‭ ‬و‭ ‬پل ها‭ ‬متوجه‭ ‬شدند‭ ‬که‭ ‬نه‭ ‬تنها‭ ‬جنگ‭ ‬به‭ ‬‮«‬تغییر‭ ‬رژیم‮»‬‭ ‬و‭ ‬استقرار‭ ‬دموکراسی‭ ‬در‭ ‬ایران‭ ‬نخواهد‭ ‬انجامید،‭ ‬بلکه‭ ‬ویرانی‭ ‬ایران‭ ‬را‭ ‬به‭ ‬بار‭ ‬خواهد‭ ‬آورد‭. ‬علاوه‭ ‬بر‭ ‬این ها‭ ‬تهدیدهای‭ ‬رئیس‭ ‬جمهور‭ ‬آمریکا‭ ‬مبنی‭ ‬بر‭ ‬عقب‭ ‬راندن‭ ‬ایران‭ ‬به‭ ‬‮«‬عصر‭ ‬حجر‮»‬‭ ‬و‭ ‬‮«‬پایان‭ ‬دادن‭ ‬به‭ ‬تمدن‮»‬‭ ‬ایران‭ ‬و‭ ‬وعدۀ‭ ‬نسل‭ ‬کشی‭ ‬که‭ ‬هر‭ ‬دو‭ ‬نمونه های‭ ‬صریح‭ ‬زیر‭ ‬پا‭ ‬گذاشتن‭ ‬قوانین‭ ‬بین‭ ‬المللی‭ ‬هستند،‭ ‬به‭ ‬ایرانیان‭ ‬نشان‭ ‬داد‭ ‬که‭ ‬دولت‭ ‬ایالات‭ ‬متحده‭ ‬و‭ ‬اسرائیل‭ ‬به‭ ‬برقراری‭ ‬دموکراسی‭ ‬پایبند‭ ‬نیستند‭. ‬

سوال‭ ‬این‭ ‬است‭ ‬که‭ ‬آیا‭ ‬اصلاً‭ ‬جنگ‭ ‬می تواند‭ ‬به‭ ‬برقراری‭ ‬دموکراسی‭ ‬بی انجامد؟
