On behalf of the International Mobile Film Festival in San Diego, we want to thank everyone who has already submitted a film to our 15th Edition taking place next April. We have some news for you if you can appreciate the benefits of community.
Since 2009, we've been calling for all humans around the world to make movies using mobile phone cameras. We've always focused on the phone because it is the most accessible mobile device for almost everyone around the world, and always has been.
We've promoted you and your films through an intimate film festival experience in our San Diego based exclusive film festival and throughout the years between editions. Today, we encourage everyone to make an effort to connect with your community worldwide. The opportunities to shine expand our red carpet extravaganza in San Diego.
We are creating a supportive community organized and built by you. Whether you've participated in our film festival or not, you are welcome to be a part of it and begin to show up for each other online and elsewhere.
Artists, storytellers and filmmakers: Community is not a network. It is a space where you support members and members support you. It is a way to spread the trust you feel toward members into trust others feel toward you. It is a give and take without counting or adding. We invite you to participate. Activate your potential through a global community of people from all walks of life who are making and are interested in making films and sharing stories.
