So near yet so far!
Just missed out on an award in San Diego for Best New Series at the Kidscreen Awards 2026.

Our beautiful show was up against stiff competition and just missed out. Kudos to for winning instead, love you guys! 😄

It's been a busy, productive Kidscreen, and a pleasure to chat to so many interesting kids media folk.

Overwhelmed to have scooped the Best Pre-School Series gong at the awards 2026 for our wonderful show .

Producer was on hand to collect the award along with exec .

The judges declared the show "combined fun adventures with education, exploring a range of scientific topics, as well as themes such as friendship and figuring out the world around you."

Our new Mini Reel, fresh for 2026!

Founded in 2010, Beakus is an award-winning UK animation studio developing and producing kids shows for broadcast and digital clients that include BBC, FTV, RTBF, ABC, S4C and YLE.

Series work includes OLOBOB TOP, winner at the Manchester Animation Festival, YAKKA DEE!, and BIG LIZARD, which has won awards at Creativepool and the Telly Awards, and was nominated for a Royal Television Society award.
BIG LIZARD is also nominated for Best Pre-School Programme at the Broadcast Awards, and Best New Series at Kidscreen.

Beakus also provides pre-production service work for animated shows, including BRAVE BUNNIES, and produces short-form animation for commercial clients including The British Library, The National Gallery, Google and The Guardian.

NEW WORK!

We have been working with on a series of films for kids all about how art materials are made and used. The first is out NOW on their YouTube channel, and tells the story of egg tempera.

The films were produced by at , directed by .co, with sound design by .

Beakus provided the scripting, and organised a kids workshop at the Gallery to test material and gain insight from budding artists! Lots of messy fun...

Producer produced a session at this year's all about co-production, exec'd by .

Our great panel included Sarah Muller (BBC), Ivan Agenjo (), Andrew Kavanagh () and Roger Shakes (Media Tech Productions NZ), moderated by Alix Wiseman ().

It was a fantastically informative session, full of tips and with a mega takeaway.

Hosting a workshop at the today for 7-11 year-old kids, as part of a new film commission. And as a treat they'll each be getting a notepad!

We love making animation for NGO's like the National Gallery. We get a chance to peek behind-the-scenes of a unique organisation, have some fun with kids, and produce some impactful animated films.
