I've been pushing to get Perilous Shores out, pushing too hard. It's not ready, and so I've asked Acorn to delay to 13 June. It'll be a better book with the delay and extra time to work on drawings, maps, and the edit.

So, 13 June for Perilous Shores. Meantime, I'm also writing Treadnought, the third book in The Sea Hawkes Chronicles. I'm up to chapter ten now, and enjoying the voyage!

Third teaser for the cover reveal coming NEXT WEEK, for Perilous Shores. Grateful to Acorn for continuing to put my stories out there, and to my daughter, Emily, for creating the swirling ocean graphics that hide and slowly reveal my cover!

For my Sea Turtle Press followers , Perilous Shores is my third book, and the second in a trilogy set during the American Revolution. The trilogy follows colonial sea captain Jonas Hawke as he navigates the turbulence of the Revolution, fighting to protect his family and his home.

My first book, Against All Enemies, tells the story of Navy destroyer captain Bill Wilkins to keep his ship and crew alive and fight back, following a devastating attack on the American military by the People's Republic of China.

Happy New Year to all hands! May 2026 exceed your expectations in the best ways possible.

Not sure why but Facebook has wiped this page. No explanation. Just wiped it.

I’ve been fortunate in having a publisher, Acorn, take a chance on me and get my books into the public. So I haven’t needed to publish myself using Sea Turtle Press. I still might at some point so didn’t plan to delete this page.

But Meta operates on it own, often without logic or thought.

So I’m renewing this page.

Just came back from meeting with the head of the office that must review my literary works. Both are approved for publication by the Navy OPSEC community!! So I will be doing another edit of Rise of the Middle Kingdom, then sending it to beta readers, then to my editor. I hope to get it to beta readers by the end of October or November. Then I'll focus on writing book two of the Revolutionary War trilogy, and the World War II book.

Somewhere in there, I need to incorporate the input from beta readers and my editor into In Harm's Way. But I'll figure out how to do that.

Progress feels GREAT!!

It is official! I have the business license as of today, so Sea Turtle Press is a real entity. In other news, my first novel, In Harm's Way, may be cleared by the security office at NIWC later this week. I should have feedback from my editor in a couple of weeks, so I will work through that with her. And as soon as the security office says the book is releasable to the public, I can begin shopping for an agent.

Progress!
