Today I became overwhelmed. I need to:

✔️plan graduation
✔️start promoting business
✔️do birthday parties and buy presents
✔️fix my car
✔️do dishes and clean kitchen

This list made me overwhelmed and immediately shutdown. I couldn’t do any of it and went into a depression state of mind.

I reminded myself, one thing at a time. I didn’t make money today but I did do the PowerPoint presentation for my kids graduation. That was productive and something I needed to do. I contributed today. Tomorrow I will put a load of dishes in while I post a social media reel.

Each day, I do something productive, even if it’s not making $1,000s or becoming super mom. Changing my expectations and reminding myself not to shutdown.

When the week is over, how many of you are like me and feel burnt out? The week got the best of you.

The weekend is a great time to reset and be present.

It’s difficult during the week to spend time with family, take time to be present, even get a moment for a walk outside.

I encourage you all to find time during the weekend to reset yourself.

It’s amazing what a deep breath, feeling the warm sun in your face, standing in the grass can do for your nervous system.

Years back, I had severe, debilitating anxiety. I mean to the point it crippled me and I couldn’t drive or even sleep without feeling like I was having a constant heart attack.

After spending countless hours in therapy, I learned that breath work can have a calming effect on your heart rate.

Sometimes, when anxiety kicks in or we are just all around too uneasy, I like to remind myself to just breathe.

From cognitive behavioral therapy, I leaved the 4-7-8 method:

✔️Breathe in through your nose for 4 seconds
✔️Hold your breath for 7 seconds
✔️Breathe out through your mouth for 8 seconds

It’s an amazing tool and has done wanders for me when my anxiety gets a little too much to handle.

Were they good ✨ thoughts? Were they negative/misleading 💥 thoughts?

Allowing yourself to truly listen to the thoughts you have throughout the day will be with maintaining a healthy mindset.

Getting stuck in a spiral of self-loathing thoughts - whether about yourself, your current situation, your love life, your job - can hinder progress to better your mental health.

Mindset is key. 🔑

I urge you to actively try to catch yourself and your thoughts for a whole day.

✔️ what thoughts creep in?
✔️ what are they about?
✔️ how easy was it to become aware of these thoughts?

Anything that negatively enters your mind, try to redirect those thoughts to positive ones. This exercise will be crucial to shifting your mindset.

Our mindset 🧠 can be a very powerful tool. It can push us forward 💪 or it can just as easily hold us back 🛑.

A fixed mindset keeps us trapped in our current way of thinking, even if it's not serving us well.

Whereas, a growth mindset, even in animosity, can help us move forward and embrace those challenges.

🪫Fixed mindsets trigger our deepest-rooted insecurities. It keeps us on a never-ending loop of deprecating and self-loathing that is hard to break.

📈Growth mindset remind us that struggles and challenges are inevitable but we are not those things. They temporarily can throw us off course, but we learn from them and redirect.

💡Reprogramming our mindset is a minute-by-minute conscious effort that, with time and practice, can completely change how we handle life and those obstacles.

🗣May is Mental Health Awareness Month.

✨It is such an important topic to discuss.

When I wanted to write my 📖 book, I was terrified to share my struggles.

⏳After spending some time soul-searching and looking inward, I realized my story needed to be told to help others.

Being able to remove the stigma is key to moving forward with comfortably talking about Mental Health.

Each day this month 🗓, I will discuss an important topic, give key lessons I have learned or advice on how to navigate any struggles we may face.
