It’s been a wild ride. Lots of ups, lots of downs. There were times when I thought “What the hell have I gotten into?” It’s fun to look back and see how far we’ve come from such humble beginnings.

And we have much more to do. I’m so excited to share some of the stuff we’ve been working on. This will be a big year!

Something is terribly wrong. People working multiple jobs can’t afford the bare necessities. Food, shelter, healthcare. It’s all out of reach.

It’s not supposed to be like this.

President Franklin D. Roosevelt said “[N]o business which depends for existence on paying less than living wages to its workers has any right to continue in this country.. . . and by living wages I mean more than a bare subsistence level-I mean the wages of decent living.”

The federal minimum wage of 7.25/ hour hasn’t changed since 2009.

The tipped minimum wage of 2.13/ hour hasn’t changed since Lion Ling was in theaters.

Productivity is up, wages are flat, and the cost of living is WAYYY up.

People want to work. But they DONT want to get scammed. If you can’t find anyone to work for you, then maybe YOU are the problem?

It’s not special treatment, it’s the removal of barriers to EQUAL treatment.

Federal law protects your right to have reasonable accommodations when you have a disability. It can be something small, like a stool at your workstation, or something more flexible, like a schedule change.

The law applies to most employers with at least 15 workers. But state laws can apply to more people.

Document all important conversations with HR. Read their communications carefully to ensure they are being (1) honest and (2) not putting words in your mouth.

Because when there’s a dispute at work, it will come down to whoever has the best paper trail.

No one has seconds until everyone’s had a plate.

That was the rule in my family. It wasn’t “communism.” It was a basic premise in a functional family unit.

It taught me and my siblings to look out for eachother. To pay attention to the whole table, not to just selfishly focus on our own plate.

This is what America needs. We need to look at our table and make sure everyone gets a plate.

Then by all means go ahead and have seconds or thirds. Knock yourself out. But NEVER at the expense of your neighbors.

I hope to see this. I’ll work toward it. I choose to ignore anyone who says it’s impossible.

🚨 BREAKING: Bipartisan coalition announced plans to FINE Trump Attorney Pam Bondi $5000/ day for the Epstein cover up.

This fine is part of Congress’s rarely used inherent contempt power, which does not require a 2/3 majority nor does it require judicial participation to enforce.

Will this motivate Bondi to obey the law? Let me know what you think!

Firing an employee because they wanted an accommodation for their pregnancy violates the Pregnant Workers Fairness Act.

Fortunately, the employee was smart and documented her request, so we have the ammo we need to fight back.
