🍕 60+ YEARS OF PIZZA IN CARDIFF!

📲: Besta-Wan Pizza House

We finally checked out Besta-Wan Pizza House, a Cardiff staple that’s been around for more than 60 years and is the oldest restaurant in Cardiff-by-the-Sea!

Of course, we came for the pizza. We grabbed two 12” specialty pizzas and did both of them half-and-half so we could try four different flavors:

🍕 The Besta Wan / The Banks — $25
🍕 Spicy Sgt. Pepper / Calabrian Crush — $25
🍗 4-piece Chicken Wings — $10.50

There’s something cool about grabbing pizza from a neighborhood spot that’s been serving the community for generations. No crazy gimmicks—just an old-school Cardiff pizza joint that’s been doing its thing for decades.

One of the most hyped Cali burritos AND asada fries in San Diego… at least that’s what we were told. 👀

📲 Humberto’s Taco Shop
📍1015 25th St, San Diego, CA 92102

Humberto’s on 25th has been recommended to us A LOT, so expectations were definitely high going into this one.

Here’s what we ordered:

🌯 California Burrito — $12.99
🍟 Small Carne Asada Fries — $14.00
🥤 Large Horchata — $5.00

Unfortunately, this one just didn’t hit for us. 😭 The carne asada was missing that seasoned, smoky, grilled flavor we personally look for, and since the meat is the star of both dishes, it made a big difference.

The salsa though? 🔥 DO NOT skip it. That added the flavor and little bit of heat we felt the food needed.

Obviously food is SUPER subjective, and with how many people love this place, you might completely disagree with us. 😂

So San Diego… where are we getting the BEST Cali burrito and carne asada fries next? 👇

This might be one of the best hidden gem sandwich spots in Bankers Hill. 🥪🔥

📱 The Marketplace
📍 2601 Fifth Avenue, San Diego, CA 92103

So many people have been telling me to check out The Market Place, and somehow I’ve never been here before.
I asked what I HAD to try and they immediately recommended the Benny’s Special ($12.49) — ham, pastrami, Swiss cheese, oven baked on a French roll with the works.

That French roll though 👀 Toasted on the outside, soft in the middle, with plenty of juicy pastrami and ham. Definitely my favorite of the two.

I also tried the Philly Cheesesteak ($12.99) 🧀🥩 — good meat flavor, super cheesy, and a nice soft roll. I’d recommend eating this one right away though because the bread starts soaking everything up QUICK. 😂

For around $13 a sandwich, this is a solid little Bankers Hill spot worth checking out.

🍕 A must-try pizza spot in Las Vegas!

📱 Miami Slice
📍 2777 S Las Vegas Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89109

I happened to be staying at Fontainebleau and randomly stumbled upon Miami Slice, and being the huge pizza lover that I am, there was no way I could pass this up. 😂🍕

Originally from Miami, Miami Slice has built a pretty big following for their NY-style slices, and now you can try them right here in Vegas.

I tried:

🍕 Pepperoni Proper — $10
🌶️ Spicy Vodka Sausage — $10
🍅 Margherita de la Casa — $9

The Pepperoni Proper and Spicy Vodka Sausage were definitely my favorites 🔥

I especially loved the addition of the hot honey on the pepperoni. That sweet and savory combo was amazing. 🍯🍕

Such a fun little spot inside Fontainebleau to check out if you haven’t been before, especially if you’re a pizza lover like me.

San Diego has been WAY too hot lately, so this felt like the perfect little summer escape. ☀️🌴

We spent the afternoon at their relaxation pool, and between the peaceful vibes, cold drinks, and poolside food, I could’ve stayed here all day.

Here’s everything we tried:

Ginger b**r, coconut, pineapple & lime

🥑 Chips & Guacamole — $26
Salsa roja & corn tortilla chips

Chef’s choice of seasonal fruit with Tajín seasoning

🍔 Smash Burger — $32
Caramelized onions, American cheese & Grand Sauce

Definitely not your everyday pool day 😂 but with how hot San Diego has been, relaxing by the pool with some good food and cold drinks was exactly what we needed. ☀️🌴

28 days with the 2024 Hyundai Santa Fe 🚙 and these were easily some of my favorite features 👀

The HUGE touchscreen was the first thing that caught my attention. It’s wide, super responsive, and there’s basically no lag when you’re clicking around.

Then there are cameras EVERYWHERE 😂 Front camera, side views, and a full 360° view of the car, which is probably one of the coolest features I’ve seen in a vehicle.

Add in the panoramic roof, how spacious it is inside, and the driver’s seat that leans so far back I could honestly take a nap in there 😂

Big thank you to Dalton Hyundai + DRS Mobility for letting me experience the Santa Fe for 28 days! 🙌
