I'm excited to announce that ATTACK OF THE KILLER TOMATOES: ORGANIC INTELLIGENCE is coming to Comic-Con!

Friday, July 24 at 7:15 p.m.

It was an incredible honor to serve as a producer on this film, contributing as script doctor, organizing logistics for our San Diego locations, and directing second unit.

What makes this project especially meaningful to me is that Attack of the Killer Tomatoes is deeply woven into San Diego's filmmaking history. Since the original film in 1978, it has become an iconic cult classic and a symbol of the creativity, determination, and independent spirit of filmmakers in our city.

That spirit is exactly why I love independent filmmaking. It's about telling stories, solving impossible problems, wearing multiple hats, and finding a way to make the movie no matter what obstacles stand in your way. That's the passion that has driven my career, and being part of continuing the Attack of the Killer Tomatoes legacy has been a privilege.

Come celebrate a piece of San Diego film history with us, hear about the making of the film, and join us as we bring the Tomatoes back to the big screen. Starring: David Koechner, Eric Roberts, John Astin, Dan Bakkedahl, Daniel Roebuck, Catherine Corcoran, Vernee Watson and Myrna Velasco.

Looking back, it's hard to believe how much went into this show.

For more than five months, Jodi Cilley and I spent countless hours planning, solving problems, rewriting, refining, and preparing every detail of the 2025 San Diego Film Awards broadcast. There were long days, late nights, and plenty of challenges along the way, but we never lost sight of what we were trying to create.

I've worked with a lot of producers over the years, and I can honestly say Jodi is one of the best. Her communication is always clear, she's incredibly organized, and no matter what obstacle came up, she just kept pushing forward. More than anything, her passion for the San Diego film community is contagious.

She started the San Diego Film Awards more than a decade ago and has poured her heart into growing it every single year. After multiple Emmy nominations over the years, seeing the show finally win an Emmy for Best Overall Show was an incredible moment. It felt like years of hard work, persistence, and believing in the vision had finally paid off.

I'm grateful she trusted me to write and direct this year's broadcast and honored that I could play a part in helping the show receive the recognition it has deserved for so long.

Congratulations, Jodi. This one was a long time coming, and no one deserved it more.
