At this age, chores are not about help. They are about participation, confidence, and routine. Expect mess. Expect slowness. That is the point.

Most parents wait too long to introduce chores.
Not because kids can’t do them.
But because we expect them to do them well.

At 1–2 years, chores are about inclusion, not productivity.
Let them try. Let it be messy. Let it take time.

These tiny moments build independence long before responsibility ever shows up.
