ALAS Media is a women-owned multimedia company based in the San Fernando Valley that’s dedicated to telling stories to create change. Our passion grew out of a need to share the untold stories of our community and eventually evolved us into a media company that helps share the stories of not only our community, but Fortune 500 companies, businesses, schools and nonprofits.

🎉 ALAS Media Turns 18! 🎉

On Friday, we celebrated 18 years of storytelling.

What started as a small team working on local projects has evolved to a production company with a global presence, creating projects for top fortune 100 companies and government entities.

From classrooms to communities, to projects for LA Metro, the Metropolitan Water District of So CA, YouTube and Delta Airlines — every project has been a step toward amplifying stories that matter.

To everyone who has supported, collaborated, challenged, and inspired us along the way: Thank you.

We were proud to partner with Metropolitan Water District of Southern California to showcase the landscape transformation that American Legion Post 43 - Hollywood, CA underwent. If you’ve been to the Hollywood Bowl, you’ve most probably driven by this historic and beautiful building. WIth landscaping designed by Mari Taylor, the Hollywood Post 43 replaced nonfunctional turf with water- efficient California Friendly plants. The conversion saves 68,000 gallons of water per year and showcases sustainable landscaping in a historic setting.

We enjoyed working with , Los Angeles County Department of Public Health and to help tell Tom's story. Tom's life was transformed as he went from transitional housing to a career in lead abatement with CRCD. Training and support are powerful tools and CRCD Los Angeles is transforming lives through the many resources they offer.

A new school year is officially underway. At ALAS Media, we're thrilled to see the energy and excitement that a new year brings. We absolutely love working with schools to help them share their stories. We worked with Citizens of the World Los Angeles to highlight their Silver Lake Middle School campus and are always so impressed by the love of learning at their campuses. Yesterday was our 17th birthday! As we reflect on this journey, we’d like to thank our amazing clients who have trusted us to capture and share their stories, our business advisors and mentors who have guided us, and our family and friends who have supported us.

Some highlights from year 16 include working on projects for Delta Airlines, the Los Angeles Department of Public Health, Metropolitan Water District of Southern CA, UCLA, Valley Presbyterian Hospital and amazing local non profits like Northeast Valley Health Corporation.

It’s been a great year and we’re looking forward to all the fun and exciting projects that are in the works for year 17!
