Since forming their company in 1982, the Chiodo Brothers- Charles, Stephen, and Edward- have built an outstanding reputation as an innovative production company with expertise in creating amazing characters using stop-motion animation, live puppetry, make-up effects, animatronic props, and costumes. Integrating computer technologies with traditional motion picture techniques empower CBP artists to

create even more spectacular effects. Located in Burbank, CA- the 10,000 square foot facility houses a full visual and mechanical special effects department utilizing the latest technology to achieve stunning, yet cost-effective visual effects. Our mechanical effects department provides: 2D and 3D design, production drawings, sculpting, mold making, foam fabrication, make-up effects, and animatronic/mechanical construction. Our visual effects department can provide: miniature sets, stop-motion animation, blue/green screen photography and filming, 2D and 3D digital animation, and digital compositing.

On Friday and Saturday, August 8-9, it’s a weekend of Critters, Klowns, and Ernest as The Mahoning Drive-In Theater and Creature Feature Weekend welcome Chiodo Bros. Productions, Inc. back for a celebration of their decades-long monsteriffic FX work, with two nights of 35mm triple features, the Chiodos in person, vendors and more monstery mayhem! Vendor space is limited!!

The Chiodo Brothers (Stephen, Charles and Edward) have bought stop-motion, puppetry and practical FX magic to the big and small screens since the 80s, with memorable moments in such films as P*E WEE’S BIG ADVENTURE, ROBOCOP, UHF, THE SIMPSONS, the CRITTERS series, MARCEL THE SHELL WITH SHOES ON, and KILLER KLOWNS FROM OUTER SPACE!

We’ll be welcoming the Chiodos back to the mammoth Mahoning lot for this event, to meet fans and sell photos and autographs, and answer your decades-long burning questions!

After you meet the Chiodos in person, thrill to witness their wild work on the giant Mahoning screen!

Friday night is CRITTERS night, with the first three films in the series on the big, BIG Screen!

Saturday night kicks off with ERNEST SCARED STUPID (1991)! Then, we enter the wild world of the interstellar big top when KILLER KLOWNS FROM OUTER SPACE (1988) descend upon a small town to let loose candy-colored carnival carnage! The night wraps up with a super-secret mystery feature, sure to give you the Chiodo Chills!

Arrive early to meet the Chiodos, check out the vendors and décor, boogie to the live DJ and dig our themed raffle and snack bar special!

Hello Cleveland! We're thrilled to announce the Bros. will be at Nightmare Weekend in Cleveland, OH August 29th - 31st, 2025. The Galaxy Con folks put on a great show and we're really looking forward to seeing the fans in that part of the country.

GalaxyCon is a celebration of the universe of fandom. With shows spanning eight cities across the United States and events like Nightmare Weekend and Animate! catering to specialized fandoms, it is a festival dedicated to bringing all walks of nerd culture together in a safe and fun environment.

Tune into the Illfonic live stream on Twitch on Tuesday, 11/26 at 1pm PST. We'll be talking about the new Chiodo Klown that's being introduced into the game and playing a few live matches with the fans. Be kind to me in the game. I'm still not great at it.

The one and only Edward Chiodo will be joining us tomorrow (11/26) at 1 PM PT to discuss the origin of the "deadliest Klown in the galaxy," Okie.
