Had an awesome time in the studio yesterday with my good friend L Scott Knight. He's such a talented singer-songwriter, and it was great to have him over to record two new songs.
We tried out a few mics and ended up going with a Neumann U47 for vocals and an AKG C451 for his acoustic guitar. The U47 really suited his voice perfectly.
We tracked both songs live, old school style, and he even got the first one in one take! The songs turned out fantastic, and I'm excited for you all to hear them soon!

Producer Andy Bush came to the studio for a tracking date and he brought this beauties for the session. I got to use all this mic pres and put the to the test and they all sounded superb but I was most impressed with the Chandler LTD1.
