It’s important to protect yourself from toxic people⚠️ Here are a few signs to help you identify a toxic person👇

1️⃣ They see themselves as the victim.
2️⃣ They are in constant need of attention.
3️⃣ They never apologize.
4️⃣ They need to be right and can’t stand the thought they might ever be wrong.
5️⃣ You feel exhausted after your conversation with them.
6️⃣ They bring you down when you are happy.

Low self-esteem can negatively affect practically every aspect of our life, including our careers, relationships, and mental and physical health.

How To Improve Self-Esteem?❤️
1️⃣ Stop comparing yourself with others and set your current situation as a baseline. Comparing with others will only bring you stress and anxiety.

2️⃣ Identify the Negative Stories You Tell Yourself. Monitor the conversations you have with yourself (e.g. I don't deserve anything better). Next time you self-criticize, stop and ask yourself, "What would I say to a friend who was thinking this?" You are more likely to be kind and use words of encouragement.

3️⃣ Change the story using positive affirmations. It can help you completely change your self-image and improve your self-esteem.

4️⃣ Forgive yourself for your past mistakes. Choose to forgive and free yourself from the past to live in the present.

5️⃣ Focus on your passion and take action even when you are afraid. Learn to accept the compliments, embrace your weakness and recognize your strengths.

6️⃣ Put your Happiness and Confidence in things you have control over!

7️⃣ Create a Healthy and Supportive Environment for you. According to a 2018 research study, people with low self-esteem are more likely to surround themselves with people who put them down. So, it gives them a sense of comfort as they believe, "You see me the same way I see me". Try to be surrounded by people who appreciate you and your work.

Atomic Habits by and Mastering your habits
1) Start with small easy habits. If you start something difficult, then you are more likely to give up! Start small and then build up slowly.
2) Write down exactly how you are going to do this. Ask yourself questions like, When are you going to do this particular task, for how long, how frequently, and where? Be precise!
3) Next thing is connecting the new habit with the current habit. If you are having coffee in the morning, then attach this new habit to that. E.g., I will read a book after or while I drink my coffee.
4) If you have a comfortable environment, then you are more likely to continue a new habit. E.g., Imagine you are reading in a messy room vs. you are reading in a clean room on a comfortable couch.
5) Reward yourself to keep you motivated!
