After Arepas en Bici was created, I said I was never going to work for somebody else, My dream was to open Arepas en Bici and rush into business and I'm really glad I didn't, I have learned a lot by taking my time and I want to make sure I'm happy when I make such big commitment.
I contradicted myself and found myself working for someone now, but for once in my Chef life, I truly feel appreciated, which makes me work harder and better.
I find myself as a Personal chef, a role I used to think was a fantasy or look down on because most never felt the pain of being behind a line, but I have found time to learn and improve my skills more and more,
I'll be honest if you think my arepas were amazing in 2020, I can only tell you they're way better now; with that said, my dream Is not dead, and I will eventually open Arepas en Bici, Inquiries for catering will always be reviewed and if my schedule can handle it, I'll make it happen.

For now, I really want to keep working on my mental health, making good food, and enjoying the wilderness and trails. Who knows, maybe I'll just start teaching you how to make my food on so that you can taste my food again 👨🏽‍🍳❤️

10 years of challenges wins, and looses, I've grown to be the Man that I am thanks to you, I have built everything I have because of you and I can't wait to continue this journey, this Neverending story for the rest of my life,In this short time we get called life I'm extremely lucky to have lived in it and cross path with you, I promise to keep my promise of living a life that it's all about the love.

it's the holiday season and usually I'm on top of things but for personal reason between my Move, planing my wedding, and others I haven't been able to work on my holiday menu, however because of popular demand and all the requests I'm going to make it happen.

I'm taking orders only for Pan de jamon for delivery on the 23rd and 24th.
this years Pan de jamon, Bacon and ham will be home made to go the extra mile in flavor.

Arepas En Bici Film

As a bi polar person it's a constant fight to keep my energy in the right direction, I've been in many interviews, appearances s**t I even won chopped, the toll it can take mentally from negative to positive feed back it's always very amazing or can be harsh, it takes a lot to put my self in a vulnerable position on sharing how I am and my struggles to hopefully inspire you to stay strong, to know that there's always a way, im hoping I can inspire others to keep fighting for their dreams with your fight that you're dealing with.
very grateful for the producers that worked really hard on this and everyone else who helped with the project, Thank you.

Yesterday marked 8 years in San Francisco, wanted to make this post but just didn't have the energy to celebrate, I have to say arepas en bici was an idea I've got back in 2012 inspired by one of my friends that use to sell gourmet ice cream from his bicycle, that was the goal, Cycling saved my life for some years I was lost, I could of just ended like anyone on these streets. but I found Bike polo and a cycling family that inspired me to make a better person of my self, raced in redbull races, won many Alley cat races, won many polo games even played the world championship in 2012, cycling saved my life so when arepas en bici was born it was just meant to be.

Please pay attention on your commute, I've been hit so many times I'm lucky to be alive, this week I've lost a good friend in an avoidable accident, those news that one you see happening you can only hope it's no one you know, I'm not perfect, I also fall behind and run late, that doesn't mean put others in danger, but takes a minute to have consideration and awareness of your surroundings, it sickens me when people think cyclist have no rights, " why are they taking the whole lane"
they're taking the whole lane because they've experienced someone running them to close,
and if you're a Cyclist and you're creating traffic, be considerate too pulled over and let pass. It works the same for both parties if we just work together on lowering this self entitlement.

thank you James, most people don't know but before moving to San Francisco I've sold everything, James was a few of the ones that bought my Art and hooked me up with enough pot for a month because he knew my journey coming was difficult, I hope your journey continues lighting people's smiles with your warm heart, we'll ride in the skys one day.

here's to 8 years in San francisco to everyone who told me I wasn't going to make it thank you as it always pushed me harder to get where I am.

Hello Everyone, it's been a while since my last post.
this year has taken a toll on my mental health, and I really just took it to focus on myself and my clients.

to everyone who asks me why I have stopped doing pop-ups? it's mixed emotions between the amount of labor to wanting to provide a better service, sometimes the numbers didn't make sense, my biggest thing was to represent where I'm from,
my traditions, my country.
but unfortunately, the country I represent has been having political issues since I left in 2001, and now we have a lot of issues with Venezuelans on the news and to me that's an embarrassment to what I'm trying to represent.

The Venezuela I left was a beautiful country, the tourism, the food, the beaches, amazonas, the people I remember were the most loving and affectionate, but now I can't go online without hearing something bad, and I'm truly sorry from my part, that's not who I am.

I will be doing my best to represent who I am and the venezuela I was from. For now, I'm still doing private catering events.

Chef life this past year:
I got my first car in 10 years! and
I've become a personal chef for high profile families in the bay area, completely different route that I thought I'd be taking this past 3 years, while running arepas en bici and I truly love my job as a personal chef, I feel blessed foraging the food I want to use, and constantly acquiring books and learning on traditional world cuisines and have evolved my knowledge and skill on everything, man even the arepas have been tasting out of this world, I have other projects that I have going on too and always keeping busy.

Good morning! my apologies on being absent after the holidays, I* had a rough couple of weeks that took a lot on my mental health, I'm slowly getting back to it and as I do I reflect on everything we did last year, and feel confident this will be an other great year.

I want to thank you so much for everyone who reached out. It really meant a lot, and thank you to everyone who has supported us all this years we're almost 4 years old! what grew from a survival idea in my small apartment kitchen has grown so much, slowly but successfully into a full-on Arepas service and with that, we're ready to take on 2024!

We have our traditional hallaca filled with beef, pork, and chicken in a delicious guiso.

Pan de jamon our recipe has improved more and more over the years, this year I'm proud to say this has been my favorite yet, and I lookf onward sharing with you, you can order your Pan de jamon Cooked, or frozen.
