Let’s have a team meet up! Join us in Petaluma It’s a creative space and has a gorgeous open community area with opportunities for interaction.
They have a few maker markets planned this year, and the next one is happening Saturday May 4, 2024 from 10am - 3pm. Our team member Joy Kwon ( ) will be there popping up with some beautiful vintage goodies!! Come say hello, let’s hang out and I’ll have some fun make and take for us too!

My heart goes out to the people of Maui. The devastation of the fires is so heartbreaking. I saw that Lahaina’s 150-year-old banyan tree is still standing after everything and I felt it was a powerful symbol of “Maui strong.” It’s still uncertain if the tree will survive but let’s hope it will continue to be a place for community and history for generations to come.

Net proceeds from this print will be donated to the Hawai’i Community Foundation. Print is available online now and will be available at .jtown Thurs. Aug. 17

What's Up Sunset Shutterbug Studio

One of the biggest complaints I hear from makers when it comes to taking product photos is how long it can take.

It takes time to setup, shoot, edit and upload your photos.

And let’s not forget the mess aftermath!

So while I can’t solve the annoying task of cleaning up, I can tell you that if you want to make the process faster and easier, keep things simple.

This means simplifying things down to only what you need. This could look like using less props, not changing your backgrounds so much, using just 1 light and so on.

Getting fancy with your product photos can give you amazing results, but it can also take up more time.

At the end of the day you want your handmade product photos to shine and sometimes getting there means keeping things as simple as possible.
