One week from today, on Wednesday, May 22, LC2 Productions, the San Francisco Unified School District, and the City & County of San Francisco will host a free screening of the documentary Fentanyl High at the SFJAZZ Center from 6pm to 8pm.
Fentanyl High was written, directed, and produced by high school senior Kyle Santoro. The film features real teen perspectives about the dangers of fentanyl poisoning and opioids, why teens are self-medicating, and what can be done about it.
The film screening at SFJAZZ Center will include a keynote address by District Attorney Brooke Jenkins, a panel discussion following the film with members of the cast, and information tables staffed by representatives from San Francisco agencies that provide mental health and substance abuse support services.
