2NITE SF. Straighten It Out TURNS 12 !

Back in 2013, booked me as a guest for his new 2nd Saturdays at the iconic venue on Divisadero. Hip-Hop/R&B/Classics/Remixes was the theme, with DJs goin 30-for-30 sets to bring the energy all night. I was the 2nd guest ever, and have been resident ever since.

On Tuesday, October 7, 2025, at 1:50 p.m., at North Bay Hospital in Fairfield, California, I lost my dad.

Ever since I was a kid, he was always on-the-go: an engineer by day and an entrepreneur by night. I guess the apple doesn’t fall too far from the tree. He was a successful businessman, a leader in the Bay Area Filipino community, and an active member of the church. Whenever you were with him, he was always walking five steps ahead, like he was late for a meeting lol.

In recent years, kidney disease began to slow him down, and it was heartbreaking to watch his health decline. Even then, his mind was still racing ahead. His body just couldn’t keep up.
I’ll always remember him for who he truly was: a hardworking, funny, and selfless man I deeply love and admire. My idol.

No more rushing, Dad. You’re home. ❤️

Tilted Brim hosted the first ever Tenderloin 5k tonight and it was hella fun! We ran through the Tenderloin, to Mid-Market, around Union Square and back. S/O to the bike pacers navigating and keeping runners safe. Congrats and the fam for organizing. Gotta run this back! 🙌
