My first in a series about SF courts & judges, and how it impacts everyday public safety.

Ocean Beach isn’t the only place in San Francisco that is shrouded in fog year round. Step into the halls of San Francisco Superior Court and you’ll wade through bureaucratic layers of procedural inefficiencies that will make your head spin faster than a botched exorcism.

The Judicial Council of California (the rule-making arm of the state’s courts) provides an annual report of 58 counties across the state, detailing case filings and their resolutions. Only SF & 3 other counties refuse to provide the # of cases that have been resolved and their final outcomes. Year after year, in this annual report, SF Superior Courts HIDES this information from the public.

SF superior courts deliberately hide basic info on cases and judgements... in contrast to other counties. There's a definite ideology & bent towards restorative justice that is hidden from the public. Stopcrimeaction.com is trying to track judges report cards to educate the public, but it's quite an uphill battle.

It's time our collective city leadership: sfbos, mayor, sfpd, DA, sfDSA demand transparency or the resignation of activist judges that jeopardize public safety.

Understanding rank choice voting

Rank Choice Voting hurts democracy. It throws away thousands of votes and often elects candidates with only one-quarter or one-third of first choice votes. H...

Lurie wants put 1500 shelter beds all over san francisco, which will further drive drug tourism to our city. He strongly advocated for injection sites and his nonprofit poured $22M into harm reduction, drug injection sites and housing first. Homelessness went up by 25%. 91% of drug addicts in sf are not from sf.

Tom Wolfe details Prop36 & its "mild reforms" ie brings back felonies for serial organized thefts & hardcore drugs ie fentanyl, he**in, m**h, p*p & co***ne. Roofies should be on this list due rise in assaults after both prop47+57 was passed. Mandated treatment after THIRD conviction!! It's difficult to believe that CA leadership still cant get behind doing the right thing for our cities! Gavin Newsom Yes on Prop 36 - Californians for Safer Communities

We still need another 100,000+ more signatures by April to put the repeal of prop47 on the CA Nov ballot. This is a bipartisan effort and as a longtime democrat, I urge you sign up to get your repeal petition in the snail mail from Kevin Kiley's office: http://End47.com
In addition to SJ Mayor Mahan and SF Mayor Breed, the repeal also has been widely endorsed by law enforcement officials and elected prosecutors across CA state. This will return serial retail theft in CA to a felony, treat fentanyl as a felony, & return mandated recovery for homeless addictions (before prop47, more folks went to drug recovery & we had higher completion rates of drug recovery programs)

We've collected 400,000 out of 546,000 signatures needed by April 23. We need a cushion of several hundred thousand extra because some will be invalidated.

When your ballot arrives in the mail, it will allow for 5 signatures from registered voters of your county

March SF ballots have been mailed out in SF... please take a moment to get to know these common sense democrats that are fighting for SF. My friend Laurance, and several others on his slate, will be competing for 24 positions on the DCCC. Each DCCC endorsement for a candidate can equate to +7 to +11 percentage points in an election - which is incredibly impactful. The DCCC election happens only once every 4 years. Which slate of DCCC candidates you can vote for depends where you live in sf. Laurance is smart & pragmatic, common sense, as well as a Lowell & Harvard alum that also may run for the SF Board of Education.

Moderate, common sense democrats who are trying to bring back basic safety, merit to Lowell & SOTA, & 8th grade algebra.

Vote No on Prop A it's not really Affordable Housing: Here's my presentation on it last week:
https://agoravista.substack.com/p/prop-a-affordable-housing-bond-not

Vote No on Prop B - it's a cop tax, which further delays our ability to staff sfpd til 2025.

Vote Yes on rest of the propositions for SF to bring back common sense.
