🐾 From Hunger to Hope — These Dogs Finally Found Safety ❤️

Watching these dogs eat was heartbreaking. After going without enough food for so long, they were eating with such urgency, as if their bodies were trying to make up for all the missed meals. Their reaction showed just how desperately they needed help.

A special thank you goes to Ms. Happy Larsen for noticing their situation, speaking up, and providing them with food when they needed it most. Your kindness gave these dogs a second chance. ❤️

Thankfully, they are safe now and staying in temporary foster care at our shelter.

Teddy’s journey has been incredibly difficult. After searching for the right family for several weeks, he is still waiting for someone who truly understands his needs.

At just 3 years old, Teddy has already experienced multiple homes. We want to make sure his next move is not temporary — it needs to be the loving, stable home where he can finally feel safe and settled.

Teddy struggles with being left alone and needs a dedicated person who can spend most of their time with him while patiently helping him build confidence. With commitment, understanding, and possibly guidance from a professional trainer or behaviour specialist, Teddy can continue making progress.

Meet Evie ❤️ A Sweet Senior Dachshund Looking for a Fresh Start

Evie is an 8-year-old dachshund who was rescued from a breeder situation where more than 70 dogs were removed. Sadly, she spent much of her life having puppies and never had the chance to experience the comfort and care every dog deserves.

At 8 years old, Evie is considered a senior dog. Veterinary experts explain that pregnancy at this age can bring serious health risks, including complications during delivery, difficulty producing milk, and increased risks for both the mother and puppies. We are thankful that Evie is now safe and will never have to go through that again. ❤️

Now, Evie’s next chapter begins. She is looking for a patient foster or foster-to-adopt family who can help her discover the joys of being a loved pet — cozy beds, tasty treats, gentle attention, and fun toys.

Her ideal foster home should be within one hour of Blue Springs, Missouri, and willing to give her the time and support she needs while she receives necessary veterinary care before adoption.

Today, our rescue team brought a very special dog named Oakley to safety. 🐶🙏

We were told that Oakley was extremely shy and difficult to approach. With patience and gentle handling, our team was finally able to gain his trust and safely rescue him. ❤️

Oakley is now heading to our rescue center, where he can receive the treatment, food, comfort, and care he needs. His journey toward recovery is just beginning. 🏥🐾
