🇮🇹 Today is the feast of Italian-born St. Frances Cabrini, known as “Mother of the Immigrants” due to her tireless service of immigrants in the United States and beyond. She began the order of the Missionaries Sisters of the Sacred Heart to work in this field and founded over 67 institutions to aid the sick, poor and needy. St. Frances Cabrini, pray for us!

⛪️ Happy Feast of Pope St. Leo the Great!

⛪️ One of the three popes officially called “great”, Leo became pope when he was forty. He was a wise administer and teacher and saved Rome from the risk of destruction through his persuasive meetings with Attila the Hun and Gaiseric the Vandal. Leo knew how to remain close to the people and enlivened them with his pastoral actions and preaching, much of which has been preserved through his sermons and letters. St. Leo the Great, pray for us!
