SHE WALKED SIX BLOCKS WITH A WALKER—JUST TO DELIVER SOUP TO HER NEIGHBOR
Around 5 p.m., I spotted Miss Inez slowly moving along the sidewalk, her walker squeaking with each step, two grocery bags swaying from the handles. One held some canned goods and bread; the other carried something hot, carefully wrapped in a towel.
She didn’t see me watching—her eyes were fixed ahead, her expression full of purpose.
When I approached to offer assistance, she gently declined. “I’m okay,” she said. “Just bringing some warm food to the Mitchell boy. His mom’s unwell, and he’s been by himself the past three nights.”
As she continued on, I noticed a handwritten note taped to the top of the container. Her writing was unsteady, but the message was clear.. (check in first comment👇)
