We'll Never Have Paris

We'll Never Have Paris An annual literary memoir zine. Submissions based, advertisement free. Reads like a book, looks like a zine.

ABOUT THE ZINE
We’ll Never Have Paris (WNHP) is a journal of nonfiction memoir in zine format. It started as a biannual in 2007 and became an annual in 2012. WNHP Founding editor Andria Alefhi wanted to see her writing in print, and realized that other emerging writers did too. Collaborating with Jaime Borschuk began in the early issues with cover design, layout work, and story submissions. Asking

her to come on board in 2016 to co-edit WNHP 13: West Coast was a natural progression. We publish real stories by diverse writers about *all things never meant to be.*

Thursday, Sept 6 at 6:30pm at Quimby's Bookstore NYC An Antiquated Future reading of former WNHP contributors Ed Kemp (The Word Distro, various zines) and Joshua James Amberson (Antiquated Future, various zines and I. Josh is on an East coast reading tour with his new book, Staring Contest. Each chapter offers me a new insight into his life, society and myself all interwoven with various applications on the concept of vision. Ed Kemp will read from Ci******es I've Smoked (I hope) or he says he has something new, and I am reading an unpublished personal essay that I'm pleased with.

In that thankful time of year, I'd like to thank the zine community of writers, shop and distro owners and readers. Zines are a vital living artifact that connect us all. I am so grateful that WNHP gets to keep going and that all the zines out there keep plugging away at it too. Keep writing, buying and reading so we can all continue the passion. If you have always wanted to write a zine but didn't know how, just do it. I did. You will feel accomplished! If you've always wanted to explore zine culture, pick up your first zine. There are thousands of options to read. And if you've wanted to submit to WNHP but were not ready, it is OK. Read the issue when it comes out in March and send us your love. This is most likely our last issue, we will close on #20. I feel sad thinking about the end, but life has its cycles, and I think this will be the end of a chapter for us. I'm thankful for all the contributors, editors, and my partner in this literary journal, Jaime Borschuk.
