How Zoie’s Magic Fins came to be 🐾
Two years ago, we started writing a children’s book inspired by our disabled rescue pug, Zoie. She was the heart of our home. Her disability never slowed her down, and she taught us that different isn’t less. That became the soul of the book.
Two different illustrators spent months sketching, revising, and hand-drawing every character, every background, every fin. While the illustrations did include final modifications with minor AI adjustments. This is a love story to her including all the people who just loved the story as much as we did.
Zoie passed before the book was finished. Her spirit is on every page.
We’ve supported pug rescue for years, long before this book existed. Zoie’s Magic Fins is how we turn that love into something lasting, a story kids can hold, and a small way to give back to the rescues that give pugs like Zoie their second 💙
