NEW MUSIC ON Friday 8/26: Nino Msk - AMOR EN LA MISSION
Every weekend, the "Predicatores” at Mission and 24th Street Plaza spread the word of God. Though they don’t have many listeners, they raise their voices louder and louder with each passing moment.
This track starts with the field recording of these preachers, which has been sampled and processed with an urban landscape, a Mayan geometric vision, and a psych-downtempo beat.
I am paying homage to the neighborhood where I’ve been living for eleven years now.
