One of the hardest things I've done in my long and crazy career is try to raise money to finish my short doc "The Sexy Six" during a world health and financial crisis. But bear with me - I would not be out here pushing this at this time if I didn't feel this film was not an important piece of the American story that needs to be told. For the past three years, I have worked with a group of women in their 80s to tell their story about lifelong friendship to the world. I promised them this film would be finished *this* year. They're amazing women who have been a part of my life forever and whose support (along with that of their families) during the past few weeks has been incredibly meaningful.
