KNOCKABOUTS "Angry Young Men" LP Has been added to our Big cartel web store*. the first comprehensive collection of the Legendary Huntsville, Alabama 1980's hardcore band. Being from the Beautiful. it's essential to us but recommended for anyone who loves 1980's hardcore.

The Knockabouts started in 1981, early for hardcore anywhere in the world, and combined a rush of "Boston Not L.A." GANG GREEN / early DC Hardcore-styled thrash with the occasional off beat quirky innovative track influenced by Bad Brains, Gang of Four angularity or the other experiments in making definition, instead of adapting and copying one. They released one demo tape " Angry Young Men / Aggressive Isolation" combingingone studio session in 1983 and a live set, and went in and out of line ups before playing a final Show opening for SAMHAIN at Glenn's request in Birmingham on May 23rd, 1986 on the "November Coming Fire" Tour.

The A-side is from the original Sound Cell Session that the Prank "On Suffering Remembered" 7" were taken from but includes the entire session, the B-Side "Boom Box Nightmare" is a re-mastered and cleaned up sound quality collection of Practice tapes, live versions and alternate recordings, so released for the first time.

The Knockabouts suffered from their location's inability to get a recording that quite captured their ferocity, but the songs are such classic 1980's punk anthems that to us, are world class with any of the great 1980s punk bands anywhere the songs transcend any limitations pretty fast. They've been lovingly cleaned up and re-mastered for this reissue.

This release was made by Music Has A Meaning in Huntsville, and is limited to only 200 numbered copies ( hence the retail cost) on random colored vinyl , It comes with a download code, and a large booklet of liner notes, old interview and flyers.

We expect our copies in about ten days.

Crow, Vocalist of the band Crow is such a skilled artist, and was kind enough to make us this New Prank logo of the Kanji ITAZURA ( which the two symbols combine to mean Mischief or Prank) when we were making CROW 'Eye". We made shirts back then of the design, might still have a couple, but are just now making Buttons of the design. They'll be free with any orders while supplies last. Uncertain of what stock I'll make these on, maybe Neon Orange.

It's insanely expensive to mail-order Stuff now. Some of it is the production costs, some of it is the ever-increasing cost of mailing stuff. It's hard as We've done prank a really long time and the postage, tax and online fees alone almost equal what we sold records for Post paid at the start in the 1990's.

Knowing that we keep trying to make Bonus stuff for people who order. This is the newest thing we're mailing out. LIFE'S BLOOD 'Die. Hard.Core" Pins that come free with the new LIFE's BLOOD shirt we're mailing this weekend. This is based off the label design of the original "DEFIANCE" EP, in the same colors, on Combined Effort. In retrospect, that Maroon on Silver label is one detail we missed in making the "Hardcore A.D." collection and maybe we'll fix in a reprint.

There's a few Life's Blood Shirts left in M /L/XL. we hope to have all orders mailed by the middle of next week.

The 30th Anniversary edition of TOTALITÄR "Sin Egen Motstandare" is shipping now. There are almost 1200 Copies 1/3rd on Coke Bottle with grey and white swirl with black and white labels, 1/3rd on Crystal clear with Silver Swirl with Black and white labels and 1/3rd on black with Blue and white labels.

When making records, labels can often get wrecked. There's water involved that can spill over, and the print for this ( Deluxe, spot glossed stoughton Tip-on old styleGatefolds) were expensive to make, so wanted to make sure anything that could be filled with a record was and there was no waste. For that, Record Technology in Camarillo wanted an additional set of labels.

So after 2 or 3 hours of thinking different combinations: Black ink on red labels, black ink on Green labels, Black ink on silver labels, I decided to change the Ink color, and these labels came out really cool. This label design is special for the 30th anniversary edition......though I now have extra labels ....maybe we'll hold on for the 40th?

Lots more people have ordered the black vinyl this time. I sense a little backlash since everything comes out on splatter / split/ swirl vinyl these days, but since these are pressed at RTI...it kinda doesn't matter for sound quality, but stoked to make the black vinyl a little more unique and special. Might do that again in the future.

TOTALITÄR's SIN EGEN MOTSTÅNDARE" was originally released in 1994 on CD-Only By Finn Records. A reunion album of sorts, the reconstituted band sought to get back their original hardcore roots, while at the same time sparking a direct reaction to the rising right wing political climate of time in Sweden.

One of the all time most rampaging Swedish Punk albums, it affirmed the band's template of D-beat hardcore that they continually challenged and re-imagined for another decade and a half of releases, and inspired a legions of bands worldwide.

This 30th Anniversary edition is a 1-time pressing at RTI with a stoughton tip-on gatefold, with spot gloss, new liner notes from the band, unique center labels for the release, a printed inner sleeve and three colors of vinyl, a reprint poster of the flyer for the original CD release show. Each color limited to approximately 350 copies. Each mailorder copy comes with a pin back button.

Stockholm Śmierć ’s 3rd album “OPOR” is out now in Europe on NNNW and up for pre-order for a release date at the end of the week, Ebullition Records and Revolver are shipping the Yellow Vinyl Prank Version now in the US.

The title translates to “Resistance”: On this album the band departs from their standard Polish Language vocals of their previous records to add a combination of English, Polish and Swedish. Vocalist Ninka had this to say:

“I move towards mixing languages nowadays as an extension of the common language of the punk scene - the broken English - and the urge of people to communicate without hiding behind a polished, correct grammar. You don’t have to understand every word - the communication is in the beat, the notes. We have tried to form the record as a stream of consciousness, a flow of the mind and the feelings involved. The story starts with us wiping up the mess left from our last argument in the kitchen, takes us through war, worry, dance, dreams, and ends with a quiet hope for a bright future.
