Just an update on Gabe. His happy face his back….complete with a “pretty please paw.” (He knows he’s not allowed to “beg” so he’ll sit at a distance and politely raise his paw every time you look at him, lol). No doubt he still misses the grandkids, but beef jerky pulled him out of his funk this time. 😂

the sun had barely touched the horizon when Luna, my fluffy Great Pyrenees, hopped into the back of the car with a gentle thump. Her white coat glowed in the morning light, making her look like a snow cloud ready for adventure.

We were heading to the mountains. Luna sat quietly at first, watching the world blur past, but every time we slowed, her tail thumped like a drum, as if to say, "Let’s get there faster!"

When we finally reached the trail, Luna leapt out and sniffed the crisp air like it was the finest perfume. She trotted ahead, her giant paws pressing into the earth, pausing now and then to glance back at me, as if making sure I could keep up with her royal stride.

We crossed streams, climbed rocky paths, and stopped for lunch on a grassy hill where Luna lay beside me, wind ruffling her fur. As the sun dipped low, painting the sky in gold and pink, she rested her head on my lap.

That day, miles melted under our feet, but the real journey was in the quiet moments—her watchful eyes, her steady companionship, and the way the world felt safer with her by my side.

By the time we drove home, Luna was asleep, her soft snores a reminder that some of the best trips aren’t just about the places we go—but who we travel with.
