Out Of Nowhere – end of an era.
Due to circumstances outside of our control, Out Of Nowhere has now closed as an active label, production house and culture movement. It was always intended to be more than just a record label. It’s presence of course will remain as a label that started in 2016 and built a profile - it’s presence in history cannot be erased.
We believe we owe you transparency of the reason. There is a dance label with the same name that started in 2018 which currently holds rights to the name in the UK. After 18 months of appeals to the Intellectual Property Office the name remains registered to them despite our activity since 2016, there is currently nothing we can do about this. This protracted episode has hugely deflected from the creation of planned new music and new artists activity on the label. There is no longer a viable way to keep the label running in the current environment. This is a distraction we will no longer tolerate.
There were good times we can celebrate. Thanks to everybody that bought the music, listened and participated over these last 4 years from January 2016 to today. The experience was amazing and global from the UK to US, Brazil to Germany, Mexico to Italy, Japan to Australia and more places besides.
This page will remain as a testament to all of the hard work, time, resources and investment that the good people involved with Out Of Nowhere put in - and most especially to those we lost along the way. Blood, sweat, tears and joy. The memories remain. The music remains. The imprint across our lives can never be taken away. All parties must respect this.
Music from artists including Architects Of Grace will remain available at the usual places. New projects and ventures will manifest in new forms in the course of time. New chapters will be written.
Karma will preside.
