WAM interns had the amazing opportunity to visit 25th Street Recording last month, which was such a treat! The visit was led by their lead engineer Gabriel Sheppard and engineer Karishma Kumar. Our interns got to be fully immersed in a world-class studio and learn more about their journeys and workflow. Thanks so much to the team at 25th street for having us!

Next up on our incredible WAMCon Nashville speaker lineup: producer, engineer, mixer, and WAM advocate Leslie Richter! 🎛️

Leslie began her career as a staff engineer at the acclaimed Ocean Way Studios in Nashville, where she developed her ear and style while working on award-winning records and gaining hands-on experience with studio wiring and large-format consoles. In 2008, Leslie joined Ben Folds’ team to help bring Historic RCA Studio A back to life for commercial use. Today, she works as a freelance producer, engineer, and mixer in Nashville, with credits including Sheryl Crow, Spoon, Sara Bareilles, Wynonna, Kacey Musgraves, Jim Lauderdale, Ben Folds, Brandy Clark, and more.

A longtime member of the Audio Engineering Society and The Recording Academy, Leslie has also dedicated her career to mentoring and supporting the next generation of creators. She has served on the Recording Academy’s Nashville Chapter Board of Governors and as a mentor in the GrammyU mentorship program.

After launching her career as George Massenburg's assistant engineer at Blackbird Studio, Kazuri has worked with acclaimed artists including Alicia Keys, Jack White, Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, The 5.6.7.8's, and many more. Today, she continues to collaborate on innovative recording projects while helping independent artists bring their creative visions to life.

Beyond the studio, Kazuri is a passionate educator, sharing her expertise on career development, entrepreneurship, and navigating today's music industry at Berklee College of Music, Belmont University, and Interlochen Center for the Arts.

A composer and producer inspired by video game and film soundtracks, she's passionate about creating immersive musical worlds. After teaching herself Ableton, she's released four original albums and continues to push the boundaries of electronic and ambient music.

We’re excited to share this amazing story from Mix featuring WAMCon Speaker and Instructor Eva Reistad! 🎚️✨

Eva recently wrapped mixing the score for HBO’s Euphoria Season 3, bringing her expertise and creativity to one of television’s most talked-about shows. Her impressive career also includes working alongside legendary film score mixer Alan Meyerson on projects like Mulan, Dune, Dune: Part Two, No Time to Die, and Planet Earth III.
