Check out my latest upload to the DJ GURL YouTube channel https://youtu.be/1UvZwPc_FYY . This was an impromptu posting because it was video taken last week at our weekly Monday night Afrohouse/Amapiano party. I didn’t plan to be video taped but after reviewing the recording I thought it’d be fun to share some of the thoughts I was thinking while DJing that night. When I came to set-up that night I had no idea we would be hosting a 21 year old Birthday party so that was a fun surprise. Kept us on our toes cause usually the vibe is pretty mellow with spurts of high energy throughout the night. Anywho, enjoy the full video “What I’m Thinking while DJing a Party” on the YT channel. DJ’d a mall gig this past Black Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Mentally I had to pace myself to DJ 3 days back-to-back like that. Whew!😌I’m so grateful I got through that. The mall was bananas especially on Black Friday so I dropped some of the heavier pieces of my DJ equipment off at the store on Wednesday before Black Friday so I wouldn’t have to deal with loading it in by myself in case I had to park super far. It all worked out. Anywho at the end of the day on Sunday this was my cart with my full setup including my chair, table, speakers, speaker stands, DJ controller, all the connection cables, backpack, and my purse. All-in-one-stop shop. 🙌🏾
Now on to the next gigs… this time of year is always super busy. I’ve been giggin every weekend and some weekdays. 😬
