Watches have been an accessory I've slowly gotten into in the past year and I've never really had a place to put them. came through and changed all that🙏🏽

Going back into GO studying today and really enjoying it so far.⁣
⁣
Yesterday I went over Arrays/slices and tried relating them to Arrays in JavaScript. So far, putting them side by side has been very helpful for me to really understand some of these concepts.⁣
⁣
I also went over Structs, Interfaces and Methods which are typed very different compared to JavaScript but seems fairly easy to understand. Will definitely have to go over them a bit more later down the line in an actual project.⁣
⁣
Today on the agenda, I'll be going over pointers and maps so should be interesting 😋⁣
⁣

I am taking more Go tutorials on Udemy and trying to figure out some of the syntax and control flow.⁣
⁣
Right now I am working with Slices and Loops in Go and so far, I really like how simple it is to loop over them. It is very easy to read and simple to code compared to JavaScript where there is a little bit more to write.⁣
⁣
The strict typing in Functions is something that I am getting used to as well since JavaScript is loosely typed. In the long run though I know it is something that will benefit me and make my life easier.⁣
⁣
Other than that, I am 90% done with the portfolio remake and it should be live soon. I can't wait to finally push it out and have everyone check it out! This is one I am actually very proud of ☺️

I've decided that this year I am going to be teaching myself fullstack development.⁣
⁣
I wanna learn so much and creating big projects with both the front and backend is something that has always intrigued me. So my stack that I am going to go with is:⁣

-React⁣
-Go⁣
-TailwindCSS⁣
⁣
Go has always been something I looked at with a lot of interest and I am taking the chance to learn it now. React and TailwindCSS I can say that I am somewhat comfortable with now but always still something to learn.⁣
⁣
From what I've heard, it is just very easy to get a server and application up and running with Go so thats what I've chosen. This year is going to be busy, yet so much fun. Projects to come soon!⁣

Put out my very first coding tutorial and man was that nerve wracking 😅 I always told myself I needed to put myself in uncomfortable positions in order to grow and this is a big step forward for me.⁣

I always felt like I wasn't ready to be making tutorials and I couldn't explain things well. But I took the plunge anyways so I hope you all enjoy it and if you have any feedback, please do let me know!⁣

Planning for more tutorials in the future cause regardless of this being scary, I love making content and this is in a sense my "blog" showing how and what I have learned. Looking at it in this way helps ease the pain a bit 😂

I started working on a new Portfolio website with Gatsby and TailwindCSS!⁣
⁣
After creating a couple projects that I am pretty happy about, I wanted to make a new portfolio site that is a lot cleaner, more minimalistic and is able to showcase my skills a lot better.⁣
⁣
So far so good! I built the landing page all on stream and am now figuring out how the rest of the layout is going to look. Working in Tailwind has been a breath of fresh air after having gone through a stint of just using Vanilla CSS. Just makes everything so much easier and cleaner to work with.⁣
⁣
So I will be continuing that today as well as some other admin work that needs to get done. After the holidays I am going to be on a tear with the content, I've got a lot of things lined up 😏⁣

Today is a write off kinda day 😅⁣

I've been hauling ass these last couple weeks on videos and other content that today I just needed a quick break! I feel like I haven't let off the gas pedal in a quick minute.⁣

We all need these kinds of days especially when the work starts to pick up. We all know about the dreaded phase of burnout so we do our best to avoid it. ⁣

Quick sesh of gaming is always nice to get away from work and wind down a bit. Might even livestream today later who knows 🤷🏽‍♂️⁣

Hacking away at a website with React and doing my best to practice Vanilla CSS as well 😅⁣

Doing this a lot on livestreams and the people that come through are so so helpful! Love that we have a community that aren't super judgmental and are always willing to help one another out!⁣

I am figuring out a schedule where I can balance the livestreams, making content and life in general so I'm not burned out trying to juggle everything at once.. Last couple weeks have been hectic but we make do.⁣
