Tunnel Falls, Oregon
April 2024

This was a magical trail, one of my favorites. You will hike alongside a creek, lots of greenery, and trees covered with moss. When I went, there were so many wildflowers. The best part of this hike was seeing all of the waterfalls. Hike pass Tunnel Falls to see Twister Falls 👉 19/52

Please do your own research. For those afraid of heights, this one may not be for you. There were a lot of areas where the trail was narrow and on the cliffside. Some of the steeper sections had cables to hold onto. Some parts of the trail were wet, rocky, uneven, and loose.

TUNNEL FALLS via EAGLE CREEK TRAIL, Oregon
Distance: 12.2 mile (I hiked 13.6 miles)
Difficulty: Hard
Elevation: 1,240 ft
Elevation Gain: 2,142 ft
Dogs on leash: ✔️
Restroom: ✔️
Fees: $5 or interagency passes
Parking lot: First lot gets full early.

I took off on a solo road trip with no concrete plans. Packed the 4runner to car camp but didn't book a site. It was, spur of the moment; because when traumatic events happen, those too are unpredictable.

One Day in Yosemite National Park
March 2024

Day before my birthday, I treated myself to a solo day trip to one of my favorite national parks

Here are some of my favorite places to visit, in sequential order. Relaxing day, very little effort for these amazing views.

📍Tunnel View - This is a scenic vista of El Capitan, Half Dome, and Bridalveil Falls

📍Bridalveil Falls - 0.7 mile hike. There are bathrooms and a water station to refill your water here.

📍Swinging Bridge - I like to park here and then walk the valley floor. You can walk to the Swinging Bridge, 📍Cook's Meadow, the wooden boardwalks, 📍Sentinel Bridge, and then hike to 📍Lower Yosemite Falls from here. You can also drive to these locations.

Afterwards, on the drive out of the park, on Northside Dr, park on the left side of the road to view 📍Bridalveil Falls and Merced River.

Continue on Northside Drive. Right before the road splits into El Portal Road and Southside Drive, park on the left side of the road to view 📍Yosemite Valley View.

Not pictured - 📍Glacier Point (road closed during winter)
