"I can't express how much I love my husband, Frank Tripp! While driving home from an appointment at the Fresno VA, he suddenly made a U-turn. We noticed a man in a wheelchair struggling on the other side of the road, completely alone. His drive motor had fallen off, and no one was stopping to lend a hand. Frank quickly jumped out and helped the man get it back on. Just like that, he was back in motion! My husband really does have a huge heart!"

"This is my husband. These are my four daughters. My husband is not my daughter's biological father, but to them that does not matter. He is their hero. He is my hero. I don't always give him the credit he deserves, but this man is the love of my life and my rock. How many men do you know who would walk into a "sea of estrogren" and never look back? He did. Almost 8 years ago. How we met and went from being "you" and "me" to an "Us" is something you totally wrap the word "Fate" around like a bow. You see, my husband was (still is) my maintenance man in the apartments I live in. He had to ask persmission to date me. But that is not where the irony starts, you see the lady that got me into my apartment following my divorce 11 years ago was one of HIS best friends. She is where it all started. My husband and I did not know each other at the time. Then through some other life altering events, I went back to school for a degree and started working in a clinic and became friends with the clinical manager that turned out to know not only the lady who got me into my apartment,, but my husband as well.

He knew I had four daughters from years of doing maintenance and he still came into our lives. My youngest daughter loved him from the start. You see, their father left when my youngest was 4 months old (she is now 13) and has been sporadic by his own choice in my girl's lives. So my youngest looked at my husband when we were just dating (she was 6 yrs old when he entered the picture-the other three were 8 and 10 years old (twins)) and asked him if she could call him "daddy" and he told her she could call him whatever she wanted to. To this day that has been her "daddy" and my daughters all love him as if he was thier biological dad & he loves them. He is their hero! He is their "person" and he is the one that makes them feel safe. He is everything a dad should be. He has taught them so much and is always there for them. He is a great man and I couldn't imagine our lives without him. It just goes to show, that any dad can be a father, but it takes a special man to walk into someone else's role and be a dad!"
