Eight years ago, we opened AFKgg near San Pedro Square in Downtown San Jose. It’s been quite a journey since then- shout out to everyone who supported us! 💚

Starting today AFKxp Lounge will be closed and focusing full time on events and eSports production at our partner location Guildhouse (420 S First St) in Downtown San Jose. While our operations might be ending in Downtown Campbell, we aren't done and AFKxp will continue to support the gaming community with tournaments and media production out of Guildhouse.

But don't worry the lounge lives on! Our friends The Retro Fix II Turbo will be expanding their retro game store and taking over the entire upstairs! They will also be offering some of the same services AFKxp provided as they roll out their new concept in the next few weeks. We appreciate and thank the community's dedicated support over the past three years at this Campbell location.

We are excited to shift our focus and explore new opportunities in eSports and media production. Stay tuned for more of the same and new eSports tournaments and content in partnership with Guildhouse. Furthermore, our long-term goal is to open another dedicated AFK-style location with the full gaming lounge experience of the past in the Bay Area sometime in the future. ❤

Next week we will still be hosting our weekly Smash Ultimate (Monday) and Guilty Gear (Wednesday) tournaments for the final time at AFKxp. Smash and FGC supporters, we plan to continue to host our widely popular weeklies, seasonals, regionals at Guildhouse. Tabletop fanatics, please join us at Guildhouse where we host tons D&D/ RPG campaigns weekly. Pokemon & MTG collectors, Guildhouse offers space to play and trade. The upcoming AFK Game Swaps (April 16th + 23rd) in Campbell will be your best chance to purchase AFKxp LAN PCs, gaming chairs and more- no reserves- first come first serve, all sales are final - Questions?
