So it is Friday, and yes, I lost track of my own podcast, but the newest episode of The Unexpected Mentor is now available in all those places where podcasts live and sometimes die. This is a, what I felt, was a nice conversation between Emily and I which has, as it's bottom line, that you should never surrender your power to other people in particular the power to be happy or sad or whatever. Own everything in life.
Listening back to it there was a load I felt like I left out. I also realized I pound the table a lot, so sorry for the constant thumping.

Yes it's Thursday, which means there is a new episode of The Unexpected Mentor (the podcast I am in with Emily Jp). This is a good one, my favorite actually, where Emily poses the question, or more correctly, wonders aloud, if having a child will end her creative career. We did not know Father's Day would be coming up the weekend after posting, so a bit of kismet, I suppose.
It's a very human discussion and a perfect antidote for our inhuman times.

In episode 4 we talk about making the art that we NEED to make, and how it is through that need that we’re able to tell a genuine story. An example, of course, being Johnny the Homicidal Maniac by … I’ve heard Dan say a couple times now (with maybe a tiny secret amount of pride) that “that guy was going to get that story out one way or another.”
