The City of Santa Clara issued a proclamation declaring June as Portuguese Heritage Month during a ceremony today, June 23, 2026 at City Hall. The Portuguese community was represented by local community organizations and businesses. Maria Fernanda Ricardo spoke on behalf of the community and Consul General of Portugal in San Francisco Filipe Ramalheira thanked the City of Santa Clara for supporting the local Portuguese community.
