The biggest question I have been asked has been where I have been.
Today I got the chance to attend the inaugural Autism Awareness Crawl, which is a weird thing to say for sure!
It’s the first time out in RC in a long time and I got the chance to see a lot of familiar faces that I haven’t seen in a while. Overall the family had a great time for the short time we were there. Shout out to the amazing families that put this event on and I’m beyond happy to hear that their first event was a successful one.
As for me, it’s been really tough to be “turtle” again. Turtle is Erick, just turned up to 11 to make the events a fun time but it can be tough when even after all this time, I feel like there’s a big hole in my heart that hasn’t healed yet. Today felt a little bit different now that my son is walking and my daughter has finally hit her first trail not strapped to my chest in a baby carrier.
No promises to what the future holds, but things are looking up as we know my brother is looking down on us.
Thank you to everyone that still remembers who we are and showed us love!

I’ve been away from this page for a while. No. I’m not out of RC. I could never. I just needed some time away to heal. RC has not been the same for me since the passing of my big brother Brandon. It’s hurt to be at events without him, it’s been tough to find the motivation to be Turtle again. But today I got to live out a side quest that I never thought I’d ever get to, and all I could think about was my big bro and how he would have been one of the first I’d call to hype me up for this moment. To have him kick my ass when I told him I felt like I didn’t belong or they chose the wrong person for the job. He’d tell me to go in there and show those MFs what this kid from the bay is all about. . I know what the As meant to you and I know what sitting in the dugout would mean to you. I know you were watching me from above cheering me on!
If you read this far, just know that I’ll be back. Stronger than ever. The old me would have never opened up to everyone this way, let alone cry in a video.
But there’s nothing that will stop a motivated man, I’m gonna make you proud, I’m gonna make sure your niece and nephew know that they always have their guardian angel and I’m gonna keep building this till they all know our name and know what we stand for.

Merry Christmas from the BLK TRTL Family! Beautiful time spent with family is always welcome and the kids opened up some new rigs to play with on our new table top micro course… oops. Did we say that out loud?
What did Santa leave under your tree this year?

Every man’s dream interaction with the holidays coming up! Does anyone else buy car parts and put them under the tree from Santa? Or is it just me?
