➕Long before CAD, architects sketched, measured, and imagined directly on its surface—where mechanics became art and work, a ritual. More than just furniture, this mid-century drafting table stands as a testament to the golden age of architectural craftsmanship—a time when creativity was born from graphite, gravity, and pure grit.

➕ Six months in the making—and one of the most rewarding yet. This 3D-printed model embodies precision, patience, and design intent, where every layer tells a story of process and progress. Proof that great architecture isn’t rushed.

➕ Through layered textures and bold geometry, Alina Kritarova (.krit_) transforms architectural sketching into visual storytelling. Combining paint, marker, and pencil, she constructs a house from abstraction—where light, line, and rhythm define space more than walls.

➕ With just a pin and thread, perspective turns into geometry in motion. Each curve maps a 360° view — bending space, redefining depth, and proving how simple tools can unlock complex dimensions. A five-point perspective that captures the balance between precision and art.

Have you ever tried drawing in five-point perspective? What kind of scene would you map in 360°?

➕ Before commands,, there was precision. This 1800s architect’s toolkit—18 kilograms of brass, ink, and pure endurance—was the original drafting setup. Each compass, divider, and ruler carried the weight of accuracy, long before Ctrl+Z existed. It wasn’t about speed or layers; it was about mastery of the hand, patience, and the steady rhythm of geometry made tangible. These instruments turned architecture into choreography—where every gesture mattered and every mistake stayed on the page.

Would you last a week with just this set? Or would your protractor take flight by day two?

➕ Amir Hossein Noori () redefines the boundaries of architectural representation by transforming perspective sections into miniature physical models. Harnessing AI (virtual) and the precision of Flux Kontext Pro, his work reveals how advanced digital tools can translate speculative drawings into tangible form.

Do you see AI as a tool for amplification—or substitution—in architecture? Share your thoughts below.

➕ A little 3D modeling, and a lot of time in Photoshop. Winston Yuen (.arch) () devoted nearly three years to crafting Brooklyn Stories—a drawing that transcends representation to become a lived archive of New York. At one point, the file contained over 1,400 layers and 2.5 GB in Photoshop, a testament to the almost obsessive dedication behind every stroke. This piece is not only an illustration but a performance of patience, precision, and storytelling.

Swipe until the last slide and tell us: worth three years of work? Should we share more digital illustrations like this?

➕ Developed by students of Venice IUAV University () as part of the Integrated Laboratory 2 project, these models investigate the conservation and adaptive reuse of the Val Calaona educational farm in the Euganean Hills. By referencing the original stone wall fabric, the proposals explore spatial typologies and structural solutions that respect historical continuity while testing innovative additions. The modular models, designed for disassembly, become both analytical and pedagogical tools—bridging handcraft and architectural experimentation while embodying the dialogue between preservation and contemporary design practice.

➕ Designed by Chris Precht ()  in collaboration with W10 () and ABGA () , Marina Orikum () transforms coastal architecture into an immersive spatial experience. Set beside the yacht marina in Orikum, Albania, its sculptural façade of modular inverted cones functions simultaneously as balconies, planters, and shading devices—an elegant fusion of beauty and environmental performance. Inspired by the bow of a ship, the composition frames panoramic sea views while engaging in a dynamic dialogue with light and wind. Crafted in wood-textured concrete, the project balances the artisanal tactility of material with the precision of parametric design, merging handcraft sensibility and advanced digital modelling.

Home Within Home (Scale 1/9), 2025➕ Conceived by Do Ho Suh (), this architectural model weaves memory and place into a meticulous spatial narrative. By combining his childhood hanok in Seoul with his first student apartment in Providence, USA, Suh employs precise 3D scanning, scaled modelling, and sectional cuts to reveal an intimate dialogue between form and function. The piece embodies the tension between handcraft and digital fabrication, where traditional architectural drawing techniques meet advanced resin 3D printing, achieving both poetic beauty and conceptual functionality in miniature.
