Got started on my new sissy bar for this year’s camping trip. Everything is just tack welded for now. I’m planning to add a few more designs in the middle, then finish welding everything up and give it a nice polish.

It’s been a while since I rode out to a bike show, and it felt good to get back out there.

Great people, cool bikes, and good conversations all day.

I’ve been riding without any tools for way too long and honestly I’ve just been pushing my luck.

Figured it was about time I changed that. Better to be prepared than end up stranded on the side of the road wishing I’d packed a few essentials.

One of the bikes I bought came with a leather tool bag, so I decided to use it. After about three hours of messing around with different ideas and making everything fit, this is what I ended up with.

How it came in vs. how it’s going out. The customer wanted to leave the tins raw for now and worry about paint later. The motor was built by Christian . This is only my second full Shovelhead project, my own was the first. Always learning, always improving.
