Pro tip when trying to hike with kids: don’t expect them to enjoy it as much as you do. 😂(save this post for future reference 📌)
🪵Honestly it took me a while to figure out a way to have Anyia on board with hiking.
I realized she would love it when im actually paying more attention to her in a playful way. Playing games for a bit will allow you to have that space to connect and enjoy the place and will keep them walking the whole time.☺️
We play i spy with my little eye, we played guessing which bird was making which sound and finding fun shaped rocks. 🪨
This beautiful spot in Mammoth Lakes, California is called 📍Hot Creek Geological Site (coordinates to the parking lot for offline navigation are 37.66074, -118.82753). keep your kids away from the volcanic area since there are sudden mini eruptions from time to time ☺️
You get amazing views and an easy walk that’s child and mom carrying children) friendly ☺️

One of California’s best kept secret. 🌵
📍The lava tube, Mojave Natural Preserve.
I want to share a very special place that’s both dog and kid friendly!
✅ save this post for later!
Hidden in the Mojoave desert and away from the crowds: the lava tube.
To get there from Los angeles, make sure you have downloaded a map (i use google maps for offline traveling) and insert the coordinates for the parking lot. (35.21366, -115.75308)
Useful tips.
🌵1.Make sure to fuel up in Barstow,Ca which is the last town before the national preserve.
🌵2.you will get to an unpaved road that can get really rough, so make sure you have an all wheel drive car (and drive between 20 and 25 mph, otherwise you’ll feel your car is coming apart).
🌵3. Is a very short easy walk from the parking lot (0.4 miles roundtrip) and when you get to the big cave opening you will see a vertical staircase that will take you down to the cave. There’s one small rock that you’ll have to duck and voilà! You’re there in a magical place that will recharge your body and soul! ✨🥂
🌵4. Take lots of water and snacks because there’s nothing close by. 🍃!
🌵5. You wont see the beams of light on a cloudy day, so make sure to check the weather before going. Noon will be the best time to see them but you will be able to see them until sunset.
🌵6. Layer up if you’re going during winter🤍
Remember to wear comfortable hiking shoes! I love my leather boots for pretty much any outdoor activity.

No me maten mis amigas en el mundo de la moda, pero pienso que entre mas conscientes seamos de los efectos de la industria de la moda sobre nuestro planeta, mas relajados nos sentiremos al repetir pinta para la foto ♥️
la verdad es que no todos podemos ser veganos, reciclar, cultivar nuestra comida, tener 3 pintas andar en bicicleta y evitar plásticos de un solo uso radicalmente! Pero todos podemos hacer un poquito mas y entre todos sumar ✨🥂🍃
