Chants of “throw the ball” came from the stands as Cal Poly didn't complete a pass until midway through the third quarter.

The Templeton High School football team beat Mission Prep to win its first outright title since 2005. Templeton split a Northern League championship with Mission Prep and Nipomo in 2014.

The Arroyo Grande High School football team beat Righetti 27-20 on the road Friday night to improve to 2-0 in Mountain League play. The Eagles scored the winning touchdown with 42 seconds left in the game.

The Templeton High School football team beat St. Bernard’s of Eureka, California, 49-21 at home Friday night. Quarterback Tyler Kaschewski had 186 yards passing and ran for three touchdowns in the win.
