Congratulations to our graduating seniors on the KCPR News team!!

From covering Election Day to Saint Patrick’s Day to Cal Poly President Jeffrey Armstrong’s hearing live on-air, it’s been a big year for this group! The Mustang News on KCPR team implemented more special format shows, breaking news and sports coverage this school year. And for the very first time, the team brought on-air Spanish news to KCPR!

We’ll miss the class of 2025 so much! Special shoutout to these nine seniors for the profound impact they’ve had on the station 🫶

This week is your last chance to catch them delivering live local news! Tune in to their newscasts weekday mornings from 9-10 a.m. and weeknights from 6-7 p.m. 🎙️

¿Qué onda mis amigos? You already know what time it is😈—it’s time to get litty with your fave sonic shapeshifter, Mezcalita, aka Adilene Gomez.

Gomez is a journalism senior with a photo and video minor (because one creative outlet just isn’t enough), and she’s been tearing it up at KCPR since last year— not just spinning tracks, but on the field writing stories or photographing at music festivals and local shows.

Now don’t be fooled by her nonchalant behavior. Mezcalita is a walking contradiction in the best way. One minute it’s high-energy chaos that makes your heart race, the next it’s soul-soothing soundscapes that have you questioning your entire existence. It’s all vibes.

Whether you’re gearing up for a wild night out or spiraling into the void on a solo night in, Mezcalita has a soundtrack for you.

Tune in, turn up, transcend. Catch Mezcalita on air every Thursday from 7–9 PM. Don’t sleep.💯💸
