Our Story

We are the Other Side of Radio.

KTSW 89.9 is the official radio station of Texas State University, acting as the one of the few radio stations for the San Marcos area, but the only station for Bobcat Athletics and San Marcos High School sports. KTSW broadcasts in the San Marcos and the I-35 corridor, which spans from San Antonio to Austin. KTSW is a student-run station featuring music from all genres including garage rock, up and coming artists, local music and more. The station airs several specialty shows, news programs, syndicated shows, talk shows, and segments. In addition to live music events both on- and off-campus throughout the year, KTSW hosts Third Thursdays and Saturdaze once a month throughout the semester to provide free music and merch to the community!
