Middle Ridge Studio is a log cabing recording studio located off of Middle Ridge Trail on the V6 Ranch in Parkfield, California (a three and a half hour drive from LA or San Francisco).

This summer Fiachra and his girlfriend Sophie stayed with us for a few days before Fiachra headed out on tour with the legendary Pogues. We were lucky enough to sneak him up to the studio for a live session.

Fiachra is one of our oldest and dearest friends. Thanks to Fiachra our college days were soundtracked by the uilleann pipes, and we also have him to thank for introducing us (Cian and Lauren) back in the day. Fiachra is one of our favorite musician, and he carries on the incredible legacy of his grandmother Dianne Hamilton and grandfather Bill Meek, celebrated folklorists and song collectors.

Thanks so much to Figgy Boo Boo Child for bringing uilleann pipes to Middle Ridge Studio for the first time!

Celebrating two years of Middle Ridge Studio! This little cabin has come a long way, bringing so much great music, great people, and a whole lot of creativity into our lives. Huge thanks to everyone who has come to record and mix with us, to everyone who’s performed and attended a show here, and to our amazing neighbors and family who have been such incredible supporters over the last two years. We are pretty gosh darn lucky. Here’s to what’s ahead!
