PARK ALERT: We are increasingly confident that the park will be conducting a prescribed burn next week (December 9-11) to further our natural resource management goals and reduce wildland fuels on the park. During this time, Nopales Ridge Trail will be closed for use. Other trails and public use areas may require temporary closures for public safety. There will be smoke in the park. Camping areas , lodging areas, and day use areas may be impacted by smoke during the burn and Park Road 15 may be closed to traffic for short periods of time due to smoke conditions.

So proud of our middle school students that tried out for Region Band today. Not only did they all make it, but they all made the Symphonic Band. They had to compete against not only other 2A students, but also 3A and 4A students, and they did outstanding!! Congratulations to these students!!!

🎵Carla (8th grade)- 6th chair clarinet- Symphonic Band (3 year Region Band member)

🎵Jay (7th grade)- 2nd chair alto saxophone- Symphonic Band (2 year Region Band member)

🎵Wyatt (6th grade)- 2nd chair oboe- Symphonic Band (1st year Region Band member)

This is our 3rd year to have a 6th grader tryout against 7th and 8th graders and make the Region Band! The other students that have also done this are Macye, Carla, and Jay! 💜💛
