And it struck me, because as hard as change can be it will sometimes prove to be the most important step into growth. To becoming a better, you or the best version of yourself. I think grace is something that we seldom give ourselves. And I look towards 2026 (yes already). I would like to work on giving myself some grace. I am understanding that there is a difference between grace and resilience which I have always seen myself as being resilient. But grace I believe is something more powerful. It used to be said “…wait until you retire." You will have so much time to do what you want. Travel, hobbies, family, golfing, go back to school, volunteering, the list goes on and on. Then when it happens it is like now what. At least for me. Now in my third year of retirement, the newness is gone.
