The Urban Collaborative Project just unveiled their new logo — designed by BLK Box Gallery’s Executive Director, Ernesto Gonzalez. We’re honored to see his creative work featured in their latest newsletter and proud to celebrate this partnership that uplifts our communities. ✨

About the logo: The submitted logo design thoughtfully reflects UCP’s mission and values through symbolic visual elements and aligned branding. Utilizing UCP’s brand colors ensures consistency and recognizability. The puzzle pieces integrated into the buildings symbolize unity, diversity, and the collaborative nature of community progress. Greenery on the rooftops and the transportation motifs represent healthy, thriving environments—key to UCP’s vision of equitable and connected communities. A four-cornered window honors District 4 and Southeast San Diego, and their cultural significance. Finally, the yellow building features two doorways forming an equal sign, powerfully representing equal justice, equity, and inclusion. Each element has been intentionally designed to capture the essence of UCP’s work and the community it serves.
