This Saturday, I will be doing two shows. First, on Gumbo Radio, we will be saluting that magical Caribbean sugar cane spirit that was a staple on every ship at sea, and probably still is. We will be saluting International Rum Day. Then at 7PM MT, I will be covering for Charlie for On The Fence. I will be playing some of my favorite famous opening guitar riffs. So tune in to 96.9FM KMRD-LP at 3PM MT/4PM GCT for Gumbo Radio, and the at 7PM MT/8PM GCT for On the Fence. See you then.

With a VERY heavy heart, we will be celebrating aman named John Michael Osborne… But we all lovingly know him as the Prince of Darkness, Ozzy… Let’s all raise a glass to a legend who has been greeted by Randy, and they are jamming together again…. As long as his music is being played, he will never be truly gone…
Please join me to send off Ozz to the great beyond on 96.9FM KMRD-LP at 3PM MT/4PM GCT

At 5:49 AM my time 80 years ago about three hours south of here, a device called “the gadget” was exploded at the Trinity Site…. Thus changing the world forever…. Robert Oppenheimer from Baghvad Gita “I am become death. The destroyer of worlds.”

Just a quick video i've made for this amazing song :)

So Saturday will be a double feature for me not only will I be doing my show at 3 PM but I will also be doing on the fence for Charlie from 7 to 8 PM on 96.9FM KMRD-LP…. the scene for this show is cover songs that are as good or better than the originals. They say that imitation is a form of flattery I would say sometimes imitation is better than the original.

SCHEDULE UPDATE!!! Next Saturday we will be saluting the 40th Anniversary of one of the greatest music festivals in history since Woodstock. Even though the Philly concert felt like Woodstock. On July 13th, 1985 Live Aid was held at both Wembley Stadium in London, and JFK Stadium in Philly. This concert featured a who's who (including The Who) of music. It also brought us what has been called "the best live rock gig of all time" when Queen took the stage... I was 19 staying at my Grandparents place in Southern Indiana, and watched the whole concert with my Grandfather (who was incredibly hip for a guy who lived through the Great Depression)... My two favorite highlights were of course, Queen at Wembley and the duet with Mick Jagger and Tina Turner in Philly. Zeppelin reunited with Phil Collins (who performed at both venues thanks to the Concorde) replacing Bonzo at the drum kit. So join us for a trip in the Wayback Machine to 1985 at 3PM MT/4PM GCT on 96.9 FM KMRD-LP in the bustling metropolis of Madrid, NM. Then I returned after welcome to heck for On The Fence covering for Charlie from 7 PM to 8 PM… we will be playing cover songs that are as good or better than the originals were with a couple of interesting twists thrown in…
