First time in Idaho and found a bay full of spawning perch! Was a great time trying a new location and catching new species!

Does this count as a catch? Bass are moving up shallow and stumbled on one willing to take my trout rig! It was a new experience feeling the slow, heavy pull of a largemouth instead of the erratic thrashing of trout on the 4 weight.

Getting trout to take mid conversation and during loadout inspection! It was shooting fish in a barrel as soon as the flies got into the zone.

Stocked ponds in metro areas, these gave me my start in trout fishing. I’ve had countless positive interactions on the recent stocking wave here in Denver.

When the catching is guaranteed and easy to access, it brings all skill levels and diverse perspectives on the water for a great time.

Spring like conditions in the canyon! Found some fish looking up at noon, nymphing in the morning was getting eaten consistently.

Hollywood Hole, Troutlet Mall. A lot of good names for this spot holding big fish in plain sight, and they hate fly anglers. Took some time to dial in a presentation that gets eaten and starting to get rewarded! Full video at link in bio!
